    PSA - climbingskinsdirect.com

Saw the ad last night in the new issue of The Avalanche Review. They are a newish company started by some former employees of Ascension. Old Euro-style tips and tails or new twin-tip attatchments are available. Prices are much better than BD, G3, etc... 132mm skins retail for $99. I think I am going to try a pair for my work skis.

I had some of the Euro style stretchy tips and boy did they suck when one ski tip would hit the other tip off. Loved that little skin track fun.

But not to be completely negative, looks like the prices are good and the owners are solid stock. Anyone tried these yet? If not, I'm claiming dibs on the first maggot test pair. (as if that would happen) C'mon guys, my box is cleaned and ready for a PM.

If they're solid skins, that's a great deal.

I think I'm going to go with the simple skins and add a BD Clip-Fix tail. I'll let you know how they work soon, Powstash.

Damn, them's some good prices, and they can't suck as much as BCA's. If only I needed some more skins.

The euro tip attachment sucks donkey balls.

Any time your tips touch they come off. Not what you want to have to play with then side hill traversing on some wind scoured ridge over exposure. Just ask Van_skier how she hates hers.
