    2011 Marker Duke Info?

Anyone have any information on any changes that are on the way? Anyone see these at SIA? A search yielded nothing. Trying to decide to buy some right now or wait until next year's improvements (if applicable). Thanks.

Doubt the Duke is changing at all. Maybe a different color.

Maker is coming out with a lighter version of the Duke called the F10 Tour or F12 Tour, depending on your desired DIN.

I haven't seen it at a show, but in the 2011 catalog it looks exactly the same as 2010. White, 16 din, same design that they came out with in 2008.

The Baron gets a noteworthy bump to 13 din for 2011.

^^^Thanks all. F12 Tour looks pretty sweet. Standard brake is 85mm though. I assume this will change when it hits the US market?

As for the Salomon, are any details available as far as DIN/Weight? I love their regular alpine bindings so I'm anxious to hear more.

All i can tell you is

    Lighter (only slightly)
Lower stack height (again only slightly)
    din 6-16
no need to remove skis to change modes.
Designed to work better on big skis wider platforms.

3.9lbs/pair for the Tour 12. Since that's something like 1.7lbs less than dukes and look alot alike, what are the odds that this thing will break apart as soon as a good skiers eyes see it?

Hopefully I'm wrong, but also that heel reminds me of the shitty old Markers more than Dukes(I think the Duke Heel piece is decent BTW, even though I'm not crazy for Dukes in general).

Is there going to be a viable market for the F12? I need to place my volkl/marker order, and I can't decide on this binding. Sure, it's light, but durability and 1st year production are concerns.
Looks like the big thing at Volkl/Marker this year will be the Gotama/Kendo/Kenja/Kiku/F12. Wondering whether a pre-order in in order

marker recommended against using the f12 on a ski like the lotus 120. said it would be better on something like a w105 or w95 width.

take that for what its worth.

The F10/F12 are touring bindings...they are not Duke "Lites."

If you're skiing aggressive lines with air, you need Dukes.

And if you're touring, you need Dynafits.

I have been hearing a lot of folks talk about the F12 Tour and planning on using it inbounds 50% of the time on a wide 110 ski.

I am probably wise to avoid them at 220lbs 6'4" but would they be a good choice for my wife to use (90% inbounds) at 130 pounds of finesse skier?
She has Barons now and hates the weight.
