Does anyone else find this wrong?

Most of you probably could care less what happens at little old Killington, but I was pretty amazed when I saw this email between a Killington customer and Chris Nyberg, President of Killington. A customer complains via email and THE PRESIDENT OF KILLINGTON sends an email to YOUR boss, tattling on you for wasting time with company resources to try to get you in trouble? That's just not right.

The attendance this event drew this past weekend has to be an embarrassment and PLEASE do not blame the weather. BMMC has seen huge crowds in monsoon conditions. I also cant imagine a ski resort blaming poor attendance to an on-mountain event due to a snowstorm. That would be laughable.

Also don’t tell me the state of Vermont has clamped down on this event. Its your silly rules that you have your Gestapo rent a cops enforcing that has ruined the spirit of BMMC. I hope you got the message from us loud and clear this week but the real question is do you care?

I know you guys are coming off a rough year. Skier visits must be down buy at least 10%. And I am sure you are not making friends with the local business owners on the access road. Have they sent the lynch mob out to your house yet.

I never thought I would ever utter these words but ASC was never this bad.

Feel free to contact me if you feel I am out of line or if your grand plan for the future has some exciting surprises in store for us. I doubt you or anyone else has the guts to respond.

I'd bet that the e-mail was written by an imposter, as evinced by the erroneous spelling (e.g., "computor") and poor usage (e.g., "companies" vs. "company's; awkward linked prepositions), or this is an urban myth.

If I got an obnoxious email from a killington employee using his killington email address about the way I conducted myself or ran my business, I would certainly consider including that employee's supervisor on the reply email.

by using his work acct he was technically representing his company and dragging his employer into the fray - and why would anyone who knows better do that? especially if complaint letter is far from "professional" or "civil" and more of an angry rant.
i've seen the same thing happen when a coworker's online flame war resulted in the other flamer contacting her boss.
again lame, but one has to be aware.

The author of the complaint letter is an moron for a couple reasons.

1. You don't send an threatening complaint letter to a company that makes you sound like an uneducated douchbag from your work e-mail. That is just plain stupid. Do you know how many people are fired everyday for saying something stupid over work e-mail? The fact that your mentioned the word "lynch mob" in your complaint letter makes you seem like a complete asshole and that comment might get some people fired.

2. If you want to complain to a company you're not going to get anything accomplished by sounding like an asshole in your letter. If you want to complain you should write a respectful complaint letter and not sound like a cry baby. Oh yeah.....and send if from YOUR PERSONAL E-MAIL ADDRESS!!!


Maybe the responder to the letter should not have fowarded it to your employer, but if you're dumb enough to send that kind of letter from your work e-mail, you deserve it.
