Fritschi question

Medium Fritschis are rated to accept boot sole lengths down to 280cm. Does anyone know if 278mm soles will work? I don't have any Fritschis right now, so I can't check -- I'm going to buy some for my wife, whose boots are 278. It would be great to have the option to buy medium used Fritschis. Small ones are hard to find.

Thanx ,good to know I have a 277 BSL and I take a small fritschi ,BUT you DO see alot of used skis come up with medium freerides on them and I always wondered if a medium is gona work so now I know to give them a pass or at least plan on flogging the binding

I can't be sure, but I believe there is a thread about cutting freerides down to a smaller size. Can't say I have ever looked at them with that intent, but it seems like it would be easy enough, at least in theory.

You could buy the small freerides I have for sale.

It is always good to use the smallest size possible so that you don't have a bunch of bar sticking out the back. The closer together the heel and toe piece can be the better. I think the thread referenced above about cutting down Freerides was the one started by me last year, and the conclusion was that it could not be done, because the din adjustment mechanism is inside the bar.

On a side note, today I fitted the smallest BSL I've yet seen. Two nice Japanese girls renting out some Fritschis. The smallest the small could go. One girl said to me: "I'm small all over." I'll bet.

how about Naxo ?

my nx21's adjust beyond the last marking on the bar, but have a minimum line. i don't think it would really matter and is probably doable if you just move it down a few mm's.
