Who won? Looks like the Green boat is all the rage nowadays. The Narrows are cool.

Pat Keller won with a time of 5 minutes and 31 seconds. A really impressive time considering the low water conditions. The Green was running at 6 inches on the new gauge....well below the typical 8 to 9 inches in non drought years. Lots of people opted not to race due to the low water Gorilla and there were plenty of sketchy lines. Andrew Holcombe and Geoff Calhoun (1st and 3rd place last year respectively) both had sketchy lines at Gorilla....Andrew went over backwards and Geoff was way right and fell off of the veil sideways.

The Green Boat is a huge hit with the creeking crowd in the south. I think 32 of the 60 long boats were Dagger Green Boats. Old is new again.

It was a awesome weekend in the mountains of NC....great weather and peak foliage.
