TR New York Peak 12,800ft 6/18/08

After seeing that the Lincoln Creek road was open, SnowmassColt and I decided we felt like a bit of adventuring, so we decided to ski New York Peak.

There was some bushwacking/rock climbing down low, which Colt appears to be enjoying.

Then we got to the summit. (sorry, I don't have any pictures in between, I sort of slacked of on the picture taking this trip.)

The views were nice. I heart the elks.

    Then we skied down.

Colter in a fun looking line a bit lower down.

Looking back up at the line.

The peak is in the sun, just left of the middle of the pic. We entered the looker's right chute, then cut into the main chute after a couple turns.

SnowmassColt should have a lot more pictures than me, which should be up soon.

right click image, copy image location, paste in mountain/image/postcard area. Some sites won't allow hotlinking, ie yahoo.

    Photobucket works though

Very fun looking line!! Way to get it done.
Skiing, whether you're in Wisconsin or the Alps, is a dumbass hick country sport that takes place in the middle of winter on a mountain at the end of a dirt road.
