TR : Do you like Beaver?

Now that I got your attention check out these sweet shots of some various forms of Beaver.

    Knumbskull eyeing the slot.

    HuckStixCO bumping the tip

Sequence as HuckStixCO shows how to gently bump the nub

I just skip the nub and go deep

HuckStixCO with his gentle touch once again

HuckStixCO knows he's good, so he gave the obligatory signal.

I like fat chicks and you can barely see me in the recesses of this Beaut'!

The trick is to get out quick before they notice

Photo credits go to Bean, Knumbskull, HuckStixCO and myself.

Sick bluebird pow day. I was pissed because I drove off the road the night before at Frisco (nothing serious... just broke off a runner-board, and a little body damage due to the super-solid snowbanks). But roads were horrible with crazy black ice all over. Right before my accident, I saw an overturned semi going east-bound. Cop stopped to check on me and he said there's accidents every where and he just came from a 13 car pile-up! The next day we saw tons of tracks off the road. So I was a little pissed and on Saturday morning, with pow and bluebird skies, I knew this was the day to step it up a little. All hits were new to us. We've skied that area quite a few times and hit quite a few things back there, but each time you can find new shit. Tons of fun. Hope ya like da Beav as much as we do.

Kinda bummed my cohorts elected to leave that area in search of greener (white-er?) pastures around lunchtime. Glad to see someone took advantage of doing what we left undone.

That said, great TR. Some very fine photos of some even finer skiing.

Dammit! Sick muff shots... if my car didn't break down the night before, and my roomate didn't leave without me that morning I would have been chowing down on some Beaver as well. Cheers buddy!

Powder snow skiing is not fun. It’s life, fully lived, life lived in a blaze of reality. What we experience in powder is the original human self, which lies deeply inside each of us, still undamaged in spite of what our present culture tries to do to us. Once experienced, this kind of living is recognized as the only way to live–fully aware of the earth and the sky and the gods and you, the mortal, playing among them. Dolores LaChapelle

Skiing with the Hartzell bro's (Huck Stix and hartzejr) always makes me step up my game.

I'm dissapointed I didn't send the cliff I was eyeing. It woulda been my biggest huck yet and I was feeling it. I was confident I could do it but I psyched myself out. I just kept thinking about how hurting myself right before my hockey playoff game. C League adult rec hockey. Serious business.

So I pussed out and hit a 5 footer right next to it. The support (heckling) I got for that decision was especially encouraging. Spectacular day of skiing that I was dissapointed to cut short for the game.

    We lost, btw.

Strong work especially with those flat landings.
I can't believe you are a rando racer because I look so much better in Lycra than you.

People who don't think the Earth is flat haven't skied Vail.

Deep Days - Thanks for the kind words. We always talk about looking for white-er pastures else where but can't ever seem to leave the chutes! Too sweet back there.

GoEhuge - Bad timing to have car troubles... But I'll bet there'll be pow there next weekend too, along with myself most likely.

adimmen - yea. the big pillow landing was pretty flat. We were both a little sore Sunday. All the others weren't too bad. Next time I guess we just gotta send the big pillow with some speed!

The beav is waaaay underrated. Lots of gnar on that hill, and lots of hedge fund managers and CEO's that aren't gonna go NEAR it........

I think we saw the guy in that first video drop that one. Knumbskull was the one trying to give you guy's advice since that's the site of his biggest hit. Last year I hit just about 5 feet skier's right of where that guy dropped but straight down the fall line and landed right on the traverse. I thought I broke my leg it hurt so bad (still think I might've gotten a micro-fracture because that leg has been acting up this winter)... So watch out for the traverses!
