One of my first days ever skiing at Winter Park, an older gentleman on the chairlift told me that this was the place to go apeshit. I wasn't sure what he meant, or if he was right, but I was optimistic and excited since i had bought a season pass here. It took awhile, but eventually I had discovered what he meant.
This video is straight up wp tree skiing. No cool big mountain lines or anything.
16" at WP
I apologize about the flat light, the white spots, and the jerky filming. My first helmet cam footy and attempt at editing which got frustrating.
TR-
I started out the day skiing down outhouse trees. Too deep for the pitch, at least without reverse camber, but it was faceshots the whole way down, even though it seemed like I was going 5mph. Then I broke trail on the tophers traverse to the mushroom patch and ended up riding the challenger and skiing four or five laps there. Once I had to stop from dropping a cliff, because I caught a brief glimpse of another skier going into the landing. I headed to the park side and pretty much finished my day over there. Too much terrain to get to it all.
The snow was great, the people were happy. Everyone was your friend on the lift. Great day at wp.
And let reemphasize the winter park sucks. 16" makes anywhere good. Sorry again about the jerky video.
