Nice find, I have this.
You may find you have trouble getting at the front screws with Sallies and the like though. If you're a relatively moral, ethical person, there's no inherent drive to kiss ass and beg for forgiveness and promise to never do it again, which is what mostly goes on in church. -YetiMan

similarly, you can get a PZ2 in a box of deck screws from home depot
its a PZ2 and not a 3, but itll work a little better than your random phillips
plus you get deck screws

I am not familiar with the Solly bindings mounting, but if the bit does not work with the extension that they provide, you could mount it and try with a standard magnetic tipped screw driver that has the same replacable bits. It may not be for everyone though as you point out.

I had a 3" pozi bit for a drill that cost me like 8 bucks. Not too cheap, but I am rather cheap and the idea of paying extra for a pozi screw driver wasn't too appealing. I found one of those magnetic bit screw drivers and just clip it in there to have a hand screw driver.
...and yes it is solly compatible.Alcohol Caffeine Taurine Hybrid
If it can be done it can be won

If you're referring to the Deckmate bit, that's not a pozi of any size.
Also, it's not like pozi is so elusive as to merit using substitutes:

That deckmate bit is pretty damned close. I've used them for a long time. Unfortunately, they're a bit tought to squeeze into the front 2 holes of a Salomon toepiece.
#3 Phillips with the tip flattened down a hair works like a gem.

Christ, just buy a fucking pozi bit. Stripped screws and not reaching screws when you need to sucks. It sucks a lot more than the $5 extra it would cost you to get the right tool.

Some Harbor Freight tools are a great deal, especially for occasional use.
Other are an excellent way to kill yourself and burn your house down. Buyer beware...but I've been shopping there for a long time and on the whole it has saved me a ton of time and money. If you're a relatively moral, ethical person, there's no inherent drive to kiss ass and beg for forgiveness and promise to never do it again, which is what mostly goes on in church. -YetiMan
