I was hoping to see some Alta pics from today. Now I am embarrassed to post anything I took because they pale in comparison to your shots... nice!!!!

I don't mean to be a jerk, but a lot of your photos seem to be 2 or 3 frames off from "the moment" and they pretty much all feel like the same shot. They're pretty much all shot really tight, but the skiers' form/clothing is never perfect enough to make shots like that work.

You've got the guy doing nothing in between turns with his cheek jowl rolling over his jacket, you've got him with his pole straight up behind him looking like he's about to blow up, you've got the Sponsored By Turtlefur guy where everything but the skier is blurry and/or smoked out.

I'd love to see some more rule-of-thirds stuff, give me the textured pow in front of Turtlefur guy, give me a super tight shot of ropeline guy so i can focus on the pow at his waist and how it's blowing up into his O-face all accented by his cool mirrored Smiths.

(Again, not trying to be a jerk, I swear.)

still appreciated though, because I would have zero patience to take shots like that in the pow.
Move upside and let the man go through...

Very appealing pictures. Was it as crowded up there as it was that last big storm?

    and here...

what do you expect me to do, actually compose this shit?

"rule of thirds"? Bwaaahaahaahaa! What is that, something they taught you in a basic photo class at the local point-and-shoot store?

I'm wondering if there's half as many good pictures taken by- or of- Phunk than there are good pictures in this thread.

Why you gotta be such a bitch?

I checked out your page and the fucked up shit is, you are actually trying to be professional and you don't even understand the rule of thirds, obviously!

Homeboy is just trying to share his stoke.

Do me a favor, go to your page and just scroll down through all of the pictures without stopping. check out the composition in each one as they fly by. All of your shit is the same and it's all centered like a bullseye.

Just cuz' you take pictures doesn't make you a photographer.
