    There Will Be Blood

Caught the new PT Anderson flick, There Will Be Blood, last night @ a benefit screening at the Castro Theater in SF.

    Whoa.

Daniel Day Lewis is on fire, even if he was vocally channeling Jack Palance throughout the entire film.

It's a slow-burn operatic (as in diabolical melodrama) piece about a ruthless oil baron in the early turn of the century.

Totally worth checking out if you dig well-crafted character studies.

    dookey,
    Castro Theater !
I saw the opening screener of "In God's Hands" there 10 years ago when I lived in SF and worked at a windsurfing/bike shop.
Matt George and the crew were all there. Very fun night.
