Rainier/Muir was so awesome today. With only one or two carries we skied from 10.1k to 6.2k. Pictures to follow once I sleep and get to work tonight.

Yup. Windbuffed awesomeness when I was expecting wind-hammered shit. I'm guessing you were in the party I talked to at about 9k (me solo, Factors/Megawatts). Hope conditions hold for Saturday.

    ^^^^ Yep

tickets are $15 at the door, $13 if you can sneak by early, and $10 if you're a student with I.D.

It's going to be a sick show but I'm afraid I'll miss it due to a class overnight field trip out to study the goodell creek drainage and hopefully catch a glimpse of the pickets

That was us. I was the guy in the yellow jacket. For anyone interested we started skinning below Pebble Creek. A few pictures:

Muir skied beautifully all weekend from the hut to about Pebble Creek, though Baker certainly looks like it was THE place to be. Looking out at the sun from my cube for the next couple days will suck huge.

erm, so, I know you're "working" on Thursday and all, but I think you should get "sick" and take a forecast gamble on the CD with me... cause, I'm not working...

If you had a 100% hall pass tomorrow and wanted the best possible skiing, would you do Interglacier or Muir? Yeah, I know Baker would rule, but I don't know it well enough to do solo and don't really want to drive that far.

EDIT: Never mind. Just saw this: http://www.turns-all-year.com/skiing...?topic=22057.0

Andy, have a hall pass for wednesday?

Anyone else able to get out wednesday? Rainier something?

Jess, I'll take the gamble if you can get me back by 1900. I'm training a new person so I have to "work."

I could likely do Thursday, not Wednesday though. The TAY report does concern me though, I'd like to see a positive report before heading to Muir.

Efforting Thursday, but it doesn't look good right now. Also, I'm with bfree: I'd like to see something more promising than "I needed an ice axe on Muir" before burning a day. We'll see TAY reports tonight. October, you big ole tease you.
