That Cham 117 looks amazing. Wish there were Dynastar and Fischer alipne dealers in town here. Also, totally flat tail seems a little scary. Is there at least a smidge of rocker or turn up or something?
    No longer stuck.

Bodacious like tip rocker, less tail rocker
    Carbon reinforced tip/tail

Just spent a week in Jackson on the new Cham 117= Full report, coming soon. Light, floats, smears, and absolutely charges like a Dynastar should.
They spent some time getting this dialed, similar to the Cham shape but different, lower profile tip, less abrupt sidecut taper, and some tail relief. Nice flex pattern, really easy to ski but the minute you want to charge it's still a Dynastar. It's a paulowina core, torsion box, no metal. (just like the current Cham High Mtn line). This will be a great addition to the quiver and not a bad touring setup.

No spoonage MtnLion. Definitely the first big pow ski I have really been excited about since the Renegade.

    Here's some other eye Candy...

Also promised not to post a pic but the graphics on the Bodacious, Cochise, Bonafide and Brahma are fucking awesome... After all, we here at TGR each know graphics are really the most important factor right?

Just found this article about next year's crop of lightweight touring skis:

"One of the lightest skis ever to hit the skin track - at 1,200 grams per ski - is La Sportiva's Vapor Nano (130/103/120 mm; MSRP $1,200). Made in the U.S. using a carbon-nanotube technology originally developed for the aerospace industry, the skis have an aggressively rockered tip, flat tail, and enough stability to handle the most technical lines."

"A narrower, lighter, and even nimbler version of the much-laded V8 ski introduced last winter, Voile's V6 (122/100/107 mm; MSRP $625) has the same full-length aspen core, carbon fiber/fiberglass construction, and buyer-friendly price."

"Thanks to the capabilities of its new dedicated factory, Black Diamond can crank out more carbon-construction skis, including the Carbon Convert (133/105/117 mm, MSRP $900), a backcountry-focused model that shaves 380 grams per pair off the non-carbon Convert, weighing in at 1,460 grams per ski."

"Volkl's V-Werks BMT was designed for big mountain touring, and includes elements like carbon-fiber construction, an air-channeled wood core, full rocker, and early-taper tip drawn from the brand's V-Werks and powder skis. The three models (MSRP $1,275) differ by waist width: 94, 109, and 122."
    ___

Those were the four that caught my eye. Article also talks about other skis already mentioned in this thread.

Was told that for whatever reason the Cochise and Bodacious had somehow become incrementally stiffer through the years. Apparently those two skis specifically have become a little bit softer, on par with the first years production, but no real changes to the line as a whole.

Y'know Blizzard raided Volkl for personnel back when it started up again, and Goats were notorious for becoming incrementally stiffer every couple of years since 2004, 15% per topsheet was what one Volkl guy told me. Maybe it's a Volkl disease, and infected Blizzard.
