Happened on one of our job sites, road is closed for bridge replacement. 10ft left and he would have went into a 335 excavator.

Was on a sport bike FWIW.. I think he was on something or drunk, most inexperienced riders aren't going that fast on state roads in the woods. Or maybe that was his first mistake.

    Maggot motorcycle stoke thread

I used to ride ice when I was living in Minnesota.
You'll be surprise how much traction you'll get with those studded tires.
Much better grip than dirt unless you get trapped in groove.

Finally found time (it took 4.5 hours) to put all of the stickers onto my sons bike. I think it came out pretty damn good!

    The boy is pleased:

Is that a TTR or PW?

I think you just added an extra horsepower with all those stickers!

    TTR-50.

Stickers were spec'd for +1 hp on DecalWorks website but that was for the "stock" color combos. The boy claims that the "toxic yellow-green" highlights that he picked make it feel more like +2 hp as measured by his seat of the pants dyno.

Nutmeg? Why aren't you riding? Sorry if you posted something on page 18 and I missed it...

As to the guy with the big skid, like VT free heel said - target fixation/rear wheel lockup.

I live by New York City and we don't have a garage.
So we (me and my boyfriend) keep our bikes in Pennsylvania where his family are.
We normally go back to visit every 2-3 weeks and (ideally) get to ride around the Poconos.
But this summer golf summed me and kept me occupied.
Maybe I'll get to ride few times before the season ends.

    What do you ride, gray?

Oh shit. sorry about that. It looked fine in my cell phone.. fuck. Anyway, anyone who has ridden like you have (knee dragging madness), can and probably does ride like a stud compared to me. I will say though (knocking on wood furiously) that I've ridden for over 40 years without a hospital visit probably cause I'm so lame I'm not sure I have the guts to lean it over so far anymore... I guess there's training camps though maybe for old pansies???

    You can try a trackday.
You pay for a day to ride at the track with general instruction.
Full leather suits, gloves, boots and helmet are required.
Any bikes are welcome and some people even take Harleys and Gold Wings.
It's rare but there are trackday organizations lend leather suits.
Otherwise, you have to provide it yourself.
Even if you don't get to drag your knees, riding at the track is a great way to develop some new skills.
You can push a little more in much safer environment.
No need to worry about soccer mom on the phone or speeding ticket.

Did a nice 250 mile ride today, about 50 being dirt. Green hills and a few wildflowers, but not peaked yet.

    Fun day

Same here. Lots of rainy days in the PNW have made it hard to ride, but easier to wait for my new bike to arrive!
