Had a great day with you two yesterday! Thanks to iskibc for showing us all the secret stashes at MJ, and providing us with that "entertainment" on the clif band!

please note that, in addition to sapling incident described in sig block, iski informed me on the first chair up that he wasnt wearing anything under his ski pants.

cornhole -- see you at Vail tomorrow? PM me your cell number. im not sure if i'm skiing there now (brother's pass might not be good there tomorrow), but i will post an update. let me know where the party is, in any event!! we may know of one in silverthorne too...

PS after meeting you two at the end of the day, my mom had a debate with herself about which of the two of you was "the cutest." in the end, she declared it a tie!

There's nothing better than meeting new maggots and having a great day on the hill. The Timberline lift opened for the first time this year, so some nice knee deep, buttery smooth freshies were had.

For those who have never skied with her, Britney is one ripping chica! She darted through those MJ trees with style. She even took some airs off some large boulders in the trees.
She does have a tendancy to talk a lot while skiing down the hill .

Cornhole, great to meet you and good luck with the rest of your graduate work. We'll definitely have to get together for a spring bc trip when you come back again.

bump for more props to Cornholio!

after my friend with the breck pass bailed on me for new years eve, i made a last-minute decision to drive up to vail solo (vail - 7 inches, breck - 3 inches. you do the math.) called cornholio who was already there, and confirmed that i had made the right choice.

first gondola ride up -- i kid you not -- guy in bogner one-piece trying to close a deal on his cellphone ("I've already written checks in the 6 figures and I haven't gotten anything out yet!")

rode chair 2 next, trying to get up to the back bowls, and chatted with two very pretty young girls in chanel sunglasses and rented skis.

finally got to the backside and met up with cornholio, cletus' brother, and their snowboarding friend who shall henceforth be known as "Hot Brian."

we found what freshies we could, and had some great runs off the poma lift, and in the trees in blue sky. Cletus' bro had to leave to tend to his GF, but Cornholio ripped as usual, and made the world's most hideous full-face helmet almost look good!!

later, cornholio called it a day and left me with Hot Brian. we skiied till the kicked us off the mountain (which was disappointingly early). Hot Brian likes to go fast, so we did some speed drills on the frontside when they closed the back.

At this point, a failed love story occurred in the northside liftline, to which some of the Magettes may be able to relate. I saw the hottest guy behind me and Hot Brian in the singles line. He was so cute, but had a very "core" look too, so i'm imagining he rips. so i was looking back and making eye contact, etc. BUT THEN -- i looked down and realized he was on SNOW BLADES!!!

i'm serious this guy looked like he should be on the biggest burliest ski imaginable, but here he is on freaking sled doggies! i DIED!!! i'm sure my face revealed my horror. i immediately turned around and never looked back. Hot Brian found the whole thing quite hilarious.

then we met special guest stars CLETUS and his lovely GF at los amigos for some nachos and stories of Cletus on a snowboard. I then (finally) heard from my brother and had to leave for silverthorne. (did a "drive by" with my bro for a few runs at A-basin on the way back to boulder yesterday. they are getting some coverage but pali's is still closed.)

thanks again to Cornholio for including me in a super-fun new years eve! see you at the tahoe summit, if not sooner. you've gotta get out of the 216, dood!
