    Arcteryx.cc discount store

Anybody here has any experience with arcteryx.cc web site. This site advertises great deals on Arcteryx products but I have never seen a .cc internet domain before and nowhere on the arcteryx.com does it mention anything about a discount store. Could this be counterfeit? I searched this site and Google and did not find much.

Not familiar with the site, but there are counterfit Arc'Teryx products around so be careful. If it seems too good to be true...

That said, I did get my wife a legit rep sample Stingray on eBay a few years back for a good, but not insanely cheap price.

I think that might be the site my buddy ordered his counterfit canada goose jacket off. The prices look about like what he paid. its been a couple weeks and he still hasn't seen anything from them beyond some sort of hand written shipping confirmation

It looks too good to be real. They are also selling Canada Goose Brand which has a Counterfeit division. I have sent them an email with a link to the site. I will let you know what I hear back form them.

This is fraudulent nonsense. That site has nothing to do with the real Arcteryx. I like the contact email...Service@Canadagooses.com

I sent the link to a friend that works at Arcteryx to confirm it is BS.

Cocos Island is off the coast of Costa Rica. Supposed to be great diving there. It's a popular destination for diving with Hammerhead Sharks, among other large Pelagics.

There is also a Cocos Island in the Indian Ocean. We stopped there when I was in the Navy.

Well at least they look like Arc'teryx so if your objective was to pose, you could certainly save a few $.

Now you want to see lowball Arc'teryx? Check this action out:

    http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...045107492.html

I'll include the links in the ad since it would be a shame when the CL ad expires and you can no longer access these steals from link above.

Whenever you go to the Arcteryx factory sales in Vancouver where they sell off tons of seconds and discontinued products 90% of the people there are asian women in their 40's and 50's. And they buy tons of shit.

They line up 4-5 hours before the doors open on the first night. If you pick up a nice product and stare at it long enough pretty soon you'll be surrounded by salivating asian mom's waiting for you to put it down so they can snatch it.

I always wondered where all these goods went after they bought them. These arent the people out skiing peak chair or summiting Rainier...

Most of the stuff on the site looks like discontinued and older models from a few years ago. Either that or it's counterfeit. It's certainly not A'T from the past few years -- you can tell by zipper designs alone.

    And:

These jackets are definitely NOT A'T.

it's so true. I was thinking they were getting it for their extended family or something, but hey maybe they jump on a private jet to Cocos Is.

Yes, I should have been clearer: a savvy poser would know to pick out the Theta, Alpha, Beta and a slew of others that are, from this point of view, dead ringers for the originals.

I agree. The products do look like past overstock selling at end of year sales prices. The area code is from NY.

I sent an email to A’T and they told me that the products were fraudulent. I then replied to ask them how to confirm that the product is counterfeit and why don’t they do anything about this since the phone number from this site is from NY. His response was:

We recommend buying only from authorized retailers found listed on www.arcteryx.com
That does not answer my questions. It is possible for a company to buy clearance sales and resell products.

If there is no way to know if it’s counterfeit then buying off ebay or anywhere else is a huge risk.

Right...so avoid the risk and buy from an authorized dealer if you're looking to get an authentic product.

yes best thing is to go through an authorized dealer. As I work there I can tell you that a lot of these products are obviously knock-offs and bad ones at that. The ones that look more like ours are using Arc'teryx photos. Who knows what will actually be shipped.

Seriously, have a LOOK at the jackets. A'T is renowned for its production -- most of the zippers, pockets, stitches etc are simply not even close to A'T designs, the colour patterning is waaay off, and they have sewn in A'T tags that A'T hasn't produced since 2003 or so. Otherwise the designs have NEVER been made by A'T.

But hell if you can't tell those production differences that make an A'T jacket what it is, then it's probably not worth getting the real thing anyway

you mean the stuff that's "sold out" (6 of 7 Alphas) that's put on the website to further convince the buyer it's legit stuff shit, those product pics may well have been lifted from the bird, but no way in hell the jacket would look like the pics.

any discerning poser would've had moved to Westcomb long time ago anyway. arc'teryx is for shopping malls, financial districts and yoga clubs.
