I hear ya....Low angle pow here I come!
There was a few lines at La Flouly that we saw and decided they were a bad idea. Saw some natural south facing activity and one slide in a gully that went pretty far and crowned down to the grass/rock. Be careful out there everyone!

Skiing at Champery/crosets was like skiing in a war zone with the blasting going on. Only a few aspects seemed to slide (50 degree below steep rock faces with major wind loading on a grass base). Some of our steeper couloirs were perhaps a bit more suspect than the mellow terrain below. Some kids claimed (probably without avy gear) first tracks and we then carefully assessed the slope. Snow did seem that it had collapsed and settled in the preceding days.
I am going to bust someone in the head if I see another set of parents with their kids (family of 4 on the front face of Zinal) or some wankers (posse of 5 kids at Champex skiing above Ripz on an open face) all without avy gear or any idea that their lives (and family) and my friends are at risk. Has been really getting to me this year....

Yes, it is always scary seeing loads of uninformed teenagers, but even adults, without any safety gear, no avalanche knowledge or etiquette, skiing all over the mountain.
We tentatively skied 1 at a time. While waiting in line some kids had followed our traverse and jumped in shouting at us to get our of the way of the traverse.
The last two days were good for settling the snowpack a bit.
Above freezing during the day, with direct sunlight on some aspects. Below freezing at night, cold and clear.
Some melting has occurred at 1500M. The snowpact has settled somewhat??
But, be aware the next round is about to come and it will again be sketchy (maybe)...
It will be along winter this year, with many great skiing days.. Wait for it, and be around when it really gets good and is also stable.... The mountains are not going anywhere.
its snowing in lausanne
