I'm going to be poor from just buying ski flicks. Seems like it's a good year for them eh?
that looks pretty solid. short teaser though.
eh...
...just fuel for the "ROCKERED SKIS RULE!!!" fanboys over on newschoolers. The skiing will be amazing, and odds are the film will be epic in terms of production...
...but it will only be sold because the guys are riding rockered skis in the park and thats "new" and "progressive".
Edit: Expand that last statement to include "no poles backcountry" as new and progressive.

you do realize rockered skis do in fact rule right?
Ewww... where are their poles?
in powder, yea...
...in park? not so much. but take a walk over there and see what kids are doing...youve got almost any semi beat up ski with blocks of wood in the tips and clamps in the middle with heat guns turned on them, hoping to make them rockered because andy and pep spent a day in the park on hellbents...
This comment does not supprise me at all.
I was lucky enough to have been around a good portion of the filming of the flick, and trust me this movie will have a far greater impact on our sport than you could only begin to imagine. Granted 90% of the people that view it wont realise the significance of this flick, after they see it, nor after this season, or even a few seasons after that, BUT I am willing to bet that 10 years down the road we will all look back at this flick and then realise how much of an impact that it had and I'm talking the kind of impact that Blizzard of Ahhs had.
I don't epect most people to get the point / impact of this flick, but trust me, at some point down the road you will look back, and just be like DAMN.
And dont ask me to explain in now, casue if you don't get it already your not going to after I explain it, but you most definitly will at some point in the future.
With that being said, I HIGHLY recomend buying this flick. Even if your not a fan of twin tip poless skiing, you will still WANT this movie in your collection at somepoint down the road.
i want to see hottate's rebuttal teaser for Bad Idea.
ps: due to spelling in the above post i highly doubt this movie's actual momentousness![]()
i see the light grant.
edito- i am not going to sleep tonight. that teaser just promised to me the greatest ski movie ever, exactly as i thought it was going to be. jesus christ i need my praxi.

I watched all the way thru the credits. No tittyfuckin' whatsoever.
I got an Idea.
Don't promise tittyfucking (especially of the holy sort) if you can't deliver.![]()

powdork.com - new and improved, with 20% more dork.
I was watching Josh Bibby for a couple of days hitting the big kicker at SMS on Hellbents and it was pretty amazing. The presses and butters he was pulling off the lip were not only new and impressive but it also changed his axis and trajectory. No, they won't be for everyone, but for the guys pushing the sport, rockered skis are going to be a part of their park quiver.
Interesting comment.and trust me this movie will have a far greater impact on our sport than you could only begin to imagine. Anyway, even if it's not THAT groundbreaking I'm all for new and experimental stuff...I mean, people have spun everyway like 5 times already for years. Time for something new (at least for those guys).
I'm totally diggin this shit. IMHO it's inspiring even if you're not planning to ditch your poles in the near future or starting to rock(sic!) rockered skis in the park. Even if you're not skiing park at all actually.
"Average summit heights are around 1000m to 1200m but on the high glaciers of the main Lyngen Peninsula there are summits over 1400m with Jiehkkevarri being the highest at 1834m above sea level."
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Exactly what I think of everytime I see some no pole skier tailgunning at alta. Seriously, what was so groundbreaking in that trailer? I saw a bunch of pillow lines, 180 drops and big booters just like in any porn. If skiing with no poles is considered revolutionary I think our sport has started to stagnate. Poor boys had thier benchmark film with Degenerates, that flick blew my mind when I saw it.
"If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough."
The skiing maybe monumental. And the production quality of Iberg's stuff is second to none.
BUT Im saying that until I see the movie, Im not buying into it...No poles, rockered skis in park, and the 3 biggest names in the newschoolers group...im gonna be a little critical at first...
Holy quick editing batman!
if you think sw pow skiing is lame, and honestly think andy looks like that i am of no help to you. some of the largest sw landings, actual sw riding, pow-butters, the riders with the most style, rediculous amounts of pow.........plus it has an updated sinners-esque vibe of cruising around with your friends on an epic pow day. if you'd rather watch msp (traditional big mountain), then go for it, this is the first real combination of park and bc.
I dug it.
I'll buy it.
With this and PNW, and Linescore I'm very excited about this year's crop of movies.
That was fucking rad.
I have been exclusively tele skiing for the last 8 years or so. I have an unmounted pair of fat bros. I am considering buying some alpine boots this year. Vids like that fire me up. God help me.
no poles is the wave of the future!!!! i've known that for a while now.
