    FS: Hennessey Hammock

Dont know if this will sell here, but might as well give it a shot.

    Explorer Ultralight A-Sym model
    snake skins
    undercover and underpad

This has been used maybe 5 times. Great hammock, super comfy I just dont use it enough anymore to justify keeping it. My loss = your gain if you like hammock camping.

whole deal for $225 + shipping and paypal fees.

brand new hammock alone goes for roughly $220.00...this is a deal with all the extras.

    Let me know.

These are actually pretty cool, and the snake skins are a nice addition (wish I had 'em).
Be careful about buying snowboard goggles for skiing. Snowboard goggles come in right eye and left eye (for goofy-footers) dominant models. This can make it hard to see correctly when skiing because you are facing straight down the hill, not sideways.

ahhh I see another hammock lover in the group....nice. snakeskins cut down pack time (which is minimal at best) to about 2 minutes....easiest thing ive ever set up and taken down...

Think im too high? I thought with the extras this is a steal?

    thanks.

Super easy. It comes with straps that wrap around pole/tree. the "ropes" are attached to the hammock and you lash them through the straps (each strap has holes to feed through). There is no need to tie a simple lash will hold the rope in place. There is a video on the web page I listed above. Once hung it doesnt lose tension. Basically the setup takes less than 5 minutes.

Every time ive used it i've been kicking back watching my fellow campers set up tents. No pressure spots from the ground. No need for a sleeping pad. Its really pretty slick I just dont use it as much as I thought I would, I like the space a tent provides.

These are rated one of the best as far as hammocks and its a self contained shelter. No need for level ground, blends into forest very nicely with its brown color. Will span a distace of approx 20 feet as I remember. really good for those who truly are leave no trace as you dont put it on the ground and the straps keep the tree from being harmed.

Go read some of the testimonials on that above listed web site...

Lets keep this on the top for a bit eh? thanks.

Price, no clue what they go for anymore, I picked up mine at an REI used gear sale on a whim. Only problem for me has been trying to find trees close enough together to tie it up as I'm usually in the high Sierra with it. The nights I've spent with it = money though. My biggest concerns were 1) sag during the night (not an issue at all) and 2) not being comfortable - being more like one of those crappy $5 hammocks people had back in the day. Both of those issues were non-issues. My hammock isn't even the large version and I'm 6'4 and had no probs.

just as a side note, I've got one and love it. they are 1000X more comfortable than any sleeping pad, or even a bed for that matter. worth every penny IMHO. skidog, you might want to throw it onto clubtread.com, or if you can find a utah hiking forum, on there.

thanks for the heads up Farmer I will see if I can find a place to post it on a more hiking oriented forum. I tried on an east coast one that I am a memeber of, but they frown on sales??? dorks....i mean they love these fuckers on the app trail cause you arent relegated to shelters with tons of others...just walk off the path and find 2 trees...Ahhhh seclusion.

As others have stated, these things are comfy, easy to pitch/break down and certainly the equivalent of a decent solo tent, but much more comfortable.

Somone needs to snatch this up. Im open to offers, but still think this is a pretty screamin deal.

    Let me know.

    thanks.

I'm a big fan of camping with a hammock. So Here's a free bump.

Also, you ought to register and post this in the gear classifieds section of 14ers.com
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
    Cletus: Duly noted.

If you're on advrider you should post it there. The motorcycle crew loves these things.
