I've got a great deal on a pair of Atuas, but no chance to demo. Where would the Autas place themselves in the mighty good flex index of the recommended ski-thread?
I'm 5'11/200 lbs and looking for something for trees and lazy days.

three would be the perfect spot for them on MO's scale. The ski has a very continuous flex. It is a softer snow weapon. Skis short, like, I felt my 179 seth V were a comprable amount of ski to haul around. However, wood core, vert sidewall, so they have torsional stability. I would go with the atua if you
a. don't necessairly want to work hard all day
b. want an improved in every way pocket rocket (longer, a bit stiffer, still soft and playful)
c. playing in the trees, different terrain, softer conditions are your fav. Not my favorite haul ass ski, for sure. very turny.
i said before these are my pops favorite skis. I've had him on b4s, mojo90s, iggy fat, R:ex last year. these are hands down his favorite. mid-late 50s, races 3x a week, strong skier, but can't pound out west all day. likes to set an edge and ride it.
being softer makes these skis better in pow than alot of other sub 100mm skis, mounted freeride I didn't have dip dive issues.

i have never skied them, but have heard from many that its great in the trees and a fun poppy ski
Preserving farness, nearness presences nearness in nearing that farness
Sweet ski in the trees, I had a pair in Steamboat with 20+ new powder, they were brilliant. I wasn't wild about the tall tails, but that's personal, I'm sure my younguns would like that feature. I tend to ski forward mostly...
