I'm excited. Look pretty cool. Technica have an AT boot too now. I'm tipping this as a move by some big names in the ski industry towards the BC market. The Dukes will spawn a whole range of burl AT binders from salomaon and co and I reckon every boot manafacturer will be tripping over themselves to make stiff AT boots.
Or this is just the fever dream of a mad man.

they look gangsta
Looks like a winner. I waited this year on a full on touring boot, so hopefully the fit is similiar to the Krypton line and I am in. Thanks for the post V61.
#1 goal this year......stay alive +
DOWN SKIS
yeah it's amazing how many new AT boots are on sale or near by: lowa, tecnica, black diamond, dynafits, scarpa, garmont, now dalbello..... revolution is on its way
forgot to mention the weight: about 1600, like megarides
Rear-entry AT boot????? What goes around, comes around....
Given its weight and 3-buckle design, it appears to be a pure touring boot. More of a competitor to the Spirit/Matrix/Megaride segment than the new burly AT freeride boots like Skookum, Factor, Axon and Zzeus.
Need to input the Virus to the Flex Chart.
Flex? Anyone?
Sweet!! I can see what i'll be shopping for used in 2 winters!![]()

i'm obsessed with my krypton pros and was thinking of getting into touring, and more backcountry skiing. looks like i just found my first touring boot. and its dynafit compatible...wow what an amazing world we live in.
Plake tours alot these days, hardly surprising that they want possibly their most visible skier on their boots and not a competitors.
Whatever the reason, good news - more competition = quicker progression 9/10.
Riding bikes, but not shredding pow...
that thing looks to be the hot!
now i wonder if dynafit will hold a 6'3" 230lb dude who can put some muscle to the ski?
does anyone know if rear entry would affect the really smooth progressive flex that i love about my kryptons. i'm not sure about the mechanics of it but i feel like it would alter the way the boot is flexed.
well thats pretty sweet
It looks soooo flimsy...
If it fits like my Kryptons, I'm getting some of those!
Leave No Turn Unstoned!
Anyone heard anything more about these, or better yet actually seen them?
I've been exchanging many emails with dalbello's staff about viruses, and have a date in late september to try 'em..... but so far that's all I can say
HEAD have one to....
maybe them greek ski boots will be OK ?
The design isn't that different than a current Krypton, it mostly looks like they removed the welt at the back that kept the upper from opening like a rear entry and replaced it with a walk/ski swith. That doesn't make it a rear entry at all, and if you look at the pivot points compared to a current Krypton Pro, they aren't very different at all. As long as it's stiff enough, then I'm thinking it'll ski very similar to a Krypton, and give me a Vibram sole, which I was planning on trying to frankenstein onto an old pair of Kryptons anyway.
If this fits like a Krypton and is stiff, hell yeah I'm getting a pair
