First Snow in Vermont
Not the first tracks, but the first snow > Lincoln Gap near Sugarbush. I'd show the photo but apparently I can't post photos until I post a few posts. Ummmm. Really?
So here, just imagine a view over the lincoln gap ridge with pines coated with a fine layer of white stuff. Its a gorgeous shot.

Also, at high elevations, the trees would be firs and spruces, not pines.

Grape is right, spruce, fir, lots of beech and some dead birches.
