Marketing?
So, I know nothing about marketing, but have an enticing offer for a marketing internship. I am fast learner, but anyone want to point me in the direction of a good book to help me learn some basics?
Knew I shouldn't have gone to film school.

Are you able to pull your pant on in the morning without this place?
Try another site called "Google" and maybe look for a "book"."All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. We must never, ever be boring."

This should be in a parenting 101 class.

(I'm sorry, but it's hard not to swing when you keep throwing them right over the plate.)
Phish, you seem like a good kid, so you may be wondering why everyone is jumping all over you these days. But face it, you have replaced Max Gosey as the forum's resident train wreck, who in turn took over from AKPM. Both of them seemed to have grown up, but you've become TGR's version of Britany Spears (another day, another drama), thankfully minus the crotch photos.
I'm not suggesting you disappear from the forum, but maybe just consider not posting every little aspect of your life here. Seriously, I know more about you than I do some members of my own family. And, honestly, you're not that interesting a person.
Also, think about what stories you decide to share on this forum. Most people would be mortified if certain events in their lives were made public, yet you gladly post it all for complete strangers to read and make fun of.
I know your previous response to actual useful advice here on TGR has been to ignore it, but I thought I would say something anyway.
Now carry on with the heckling.

Uhmm, I think marketing people like those "heroin EMO bands", you might be in trouble there.
Otherwise, what Eldo said.

now, I am guilty of this sometimes too, because TGR is such a great resource and people are so helpful and informative, but how about putting in a little legwork yourself on some of this stuff instead of just wanting to be spoon-fed everything?
Marketing is a BROAD field, kiddo. narrow it down, define your parameters, get back to us. also, do some freaking research on your own first, before just softballing it out there and expecting everyone just to tell you what you need to know.
career services, maybe? you have smarts and resources available, put them to work.
asking for help HERE for every single fucking little thing is a very lazy and half-assed way to go through life. and I'd expect that those of us who actually could help with jobs/internships/what have you, wouldn't want to extend help to someone who is obviously too indolent to do some groundwork.
