I enjoyed my BCs more when I remounted 1cm back. But I do not like center mounts at all on skis used in powder. It will perhaps be less important for you if you wont ski much powder with them.

[Currently trying to solve this issue for my Wootests, which are too long for me, so I don't want to go too far rear, as I already have more than enough ski in front of my feet.]

That's great hear actually. I think that could be a good start to getting Praxis more mainstream. I'll get on there and post some reviews at some point too

    Not yet

Will be mounting them soon. Build quality looks fantastic.

I am super stoked about these. Been waiting years... I've used the standard Powderboards a ton. And have spent a few days playing with Garywaynes. I expect these to rock. Especially in contrast to skis with "3D" characteristics only at the tips. My experience with the Garywaynes convinced me that having the hull underfoot, or super close to it, makes a huge difference in handling.

Will post when I actually get some time on them.

I wonder if keith could "3Dify" a standard pair of powderboards. Or is it part of the mold process?

My understanding is a) that it needs an extra thick base material and b) Keith says they are a serious PITA to build.

    Protest write up...

"The Praxis Protest Skis simply kill it in powder, heavy fresh and mank, and fare quite well getting back to the lift on the groomers, too. If you can't handle a couple feet of fresh on a 128 mm waisted ski, you really should consider another sport. Praxis covers you for those surprise icy patches mid-powderfield with enough torsional stiffness and camber underfoot to keep your footing solid, but that's not what this ski is about. Buy it, keep it in the quiver, and pray for the deep days."

The family. Those are my wife's LePetits on the right, she loves them.

    Overlap is being thinned, somehow.

Wootest, GPO, BC shape comparison. The ski shadow on the wall distorts the outlines a little.

Mounted my own fucking 184 freerides over the weekend, skied them at Loveland Sunday. They rip, and survived bouncing off a few rocks with barely a scratch.

Mounted -1, seems perfect, but haven't been on them much yet...

Rocker shot today. Proper review in a few months. I will only get at most 6 weeks skiing on the Wootest this season due to other skis being better for travel, of which I am doing a lot.

Mounted my new BC's tonight with ions. Orange, purple, and white in honor of the Clemson Tigers. Can't wait to get them on snow.

Got my new Woo2's out for the first time for some early season cat-track chunder with eggshell crust on top of a couple inches of extremely wet new snow. Same surface conditions off trail but on top of upside down punchy slop. Classic maritime garbage and I have to say they skied quite nicely regardless.
Have to say I'm stoked, seeing as this is what I bought them for. If they ski well in that kind of schwag they should do fine in most anything. And hey, I'm basically a hack.
Kinda thinking I shoulda sacked up for the longer length, but wanted the 187 for ease of touring and weight.
Haven't even detuned 'em and they're awesome.
Think I'm gonna take the Protests out for their ritual de-flowering tomorrow

    ^cool.

If you don't know knots, tie lots. Same applies to rocker shots....

    Wootest 2.0, 187, UL, Med-stiff.

    Tip

    Tail

Tip, pencil marks the middle of the widest point

    Tails, pencil etc etc

Tips comparo. GPO - BC - Woo (closest)

Same. Interesting. Worth noting: the BC is actually quite trad cambered, Wootest much less so, and that GPO is reverse camber.

    Tails, kinda same-ish

Top to bottom tips, GPO - Woo - BC

I had to lie on a dusty cement floor to take these pics. This post took me 15 minutes to write. Beer's on you bitches.

    192 GPO Mounted up

Mounted up my 192 GPO at -1cm from the dimple. Being they are a Stiff minus build and my ski style (and reading a fuck ton of posts) I wanted to be just a tad back. I did quite a bit of measuring around, comparisons to other skis (Automatic, EHP, Hoji, Cham 117 etc...) in that size range and it just lined up super perfect at the -1 mark. It sits right where I want it in the camber profile and in relation to the tip and tail splay. And they just look so pretty. Honestly, the picture makes them look a little more rear mounted than they do in person but that's cause I am shitty at pictures. Backcountry's with Kingpins coming shortly.

IB, looking for something interesting, perhaps traditional, particularly in winter by my fireplace, in a market flooded with cans of generic flavorless lager does not make me a "fussy prick". Peasant.

You actually tipped me over the Praxis edge by throwing me a loyalty discount you didn't need a few years ago.

Regarding the above tips in profile comparo shot, I need to retake that as it makes little sense as it is since the skis are different lengths.
