Nice dog. Looks like our last GSD.
Watching the dog show, I always think some breed or other would be a cool to own, but the reality is 80% of them are a big "nope."
I recall my mother thinking beagles were cute when I was a kid. One day one of the local beagles had a litter and there was one with a kinked tail which they couldn't sell, so we got it. Any time the dog was off leash, he would run off. We lived in the country on 20 acres, but 3 porcupine incidents, multiple skunkings, and regular dewormings took a toll on my parents. One day we got a call from a family about 25 miles from our house. They found him floating on a sheet of ice down the local river and rescued him. I remember hopping in the car and driving to their house to get him. When we got there the family's little girl (they had him for a day or so before they called) was crying that she had to give him back to us. My father, without hesitation, told the family to keep him. That was the end of our beagle experience."timberridge is terminally vapid" -- a fortune cookie in Yueyang

Westminster Dog Show
How big is he? Our V was 42lbs at his peak, and was ripped like that. Now he is pushing 10 years old and has the baby feeding him from her tray.

He's pushing 70lbs and going on 6. The original V's from Hungry were bigger than the AKC standard. Someone at AKC decided the standard should be smaller.

I read up on them after your earlier post mentioning them and there are two types, rough and smooth, and the smooth ones have an undercoat and the rough ones don't. Said the smooth ones shed a lot but the rough ones don't. That's what it said at least.
Cool-looking dogs, I had never heard of them before your post.
