In the market for new ski's...
ya I'm new here.
anyways... been readin up on reviews for all the new ski's and looking for some recommendations for some new powder ski's
me: 5'11", about 215lbs... been doing competitive powerlifting for the last 3 years so while I wouldnt technically qualify as "fat" I'm def heavier than your average skier. I love pow & tree-skiing, just hate how normal powder ski's suck on the groomers on the way back to the lift. I also have a tendency to beat the shit out of my equipment... not on purpose, it just seems to happen.
Looked at some seth's & made'n AK's at the shop today... looks like just about everyone on heres hot on the prophet 100. anyone want to give me some guidance? best powder ski thats still ok while inbounds for a heavy skier.

If you haven't done so yet, take a few hours and read through the last 10 pages of ski related postings in this section. There are so many opinions and good info, it will have your head spinning for awhile. Be sure and read the recommended skis and bindings thread too at the top of this section. Search for more info on skis that interest you. Makes me wish my quiver wasn't set for the season, as I think I learned a lot from reading everything here. Good luck.

My two cents...
Salomon still isn't using vertical sidewalls, so if you're tough on the equipment may wanna stay away from them. I'd look at Volkl. I think the Katana has two sheets of titanium in it, it doesn't have any camber, but once you get it going I hear it holds a line pretty well. Might look into the Head Mojo 105s. Volkl Gotamas could be good too, but they'll have a softer tail.
