What size for K2 Public Enemies and mount position?
I'm debating between getting 169 or 174 K2 PE's. I've been getting different advice on what size to get so thought I would ask here. All the charts for ski sizeing I've read say I could go either way. Also searched on here to see what everyone else is skiiing but most people have 20-30 lbs on me.
I ordered the 169's and then ordered the 174's. So I need to send one pair back.
I'm 5'9" and ~148 lbs. 27 yrs old, been skiing almost 20 years so pretty good. I don't ski technically perfect, but can handle pretty much any trail on the mountain confidently. I ski pretty aggressively. I mostly get to ski man made snow in the midwest and get about two trips out west. Don't get dumped on so won't be skiing any deep/deep pow unless I get lucky when on vaca. I like to ski the steep stuff, in the trees, some bumps, I do hit some jumps on the trails (no park though).
I'll be using these for all mountian. I got some Salomon Z12ti bindings to go on. Should I mount them in the FR/All-mount position? I've been reading on here some people have mounted them +2 or 3 from the back.
thanks,
Duncan

The difference between the two is irrelevant. No matter how you look at it your still stuck in Ohio. Get some snowlerblades.

defiantly 174 i have a pair and they're great all mountain skis mine are mounted on the standard line. 169 is damn short for a twin.

169 is pretty short....
I'd go 174 or longer. Mount on the freeski line unless you plan on jibbin' it up a lot.40-14
52-15
69-39
52-20
73-46
75-43
62-40

Remember that twin tips always ski way short.
Get the 174 and mount at +2.
Good look in Ohio.No longer stuck.
