Somehow the Powder/Huck/flippy-spinny and Moby don't really mesh in my mind. Then again I'm no "artist."

Not a huge Moby fan, but that's cool. When his "Play" album first came out in 1999 he didn't get any support from regular, commercial radio and the album wasn't selling. So he decided to license music from the album to movies, TV, advertising, etc. for basically whatever people could afford to pay. Eventually people started to buy the album because they heard the music in commercials and movies, but if I remember correctly the album only really started to sell about 6 months after it initial release.
I guess this is kind of payback for the indie support he's gotten over the years.
