    New PMGEAR Bro 192's

Just wanted to give props to Pat and the PMGEAR crew for my new 192's. Skis showed up last week....just in time for me to start to "get my stoke on" for the up comming season!

    I wanted to highlight a few things;

    - Skis are 9.75 out of 10 on a quality scale....not a blem I can find!
    - The skis are SO LIGHT (I have the carbon layup version)
    - I requested last years blue graphics....thats how they came!
    - Pat was INCREDIBLY responsive to emails, answering questions within minutes, not days many times!

I will be pushing ALL my ski buddies to forgo "mass market" skis and give PMGEAR their business!

Once again, Thanks Pat and the PMGEAR crew!

Hey, Scooter, glad you're diggin on them. We're really glad to be working more with the carbon layups, especially on that humungous ski. I had a pair in SA that the French team training there was totally freaked out on by the size. But they really flipped when they picked them up.

Here's some of the new things at PM Gear as we forge ahead into the season.
We'll be adding aluminum into the tips and tails as we go forward to prevent the delams we got this last season, as the pic below shows.

There's a pic of the skis in my jeep we were going to ski yesterday, but we were up too late in Squaw to hit the snow. (soul skier, those are your explosives)

Plus, the 186 rockers we plan to test at hood soon.

I also have a brand new pair of 192s, and I am floored by the improvements from last year to this year. And last year's skis were not bad by any stretch of the imagination. I can't wait to put these through some extensive testing.

My only complaint is that they are so damn sexy that I have a priapism.

The boys at PMGear are doing TOP NOTCH work, and the innovations that Pat described above sound like they are going to revolutionize what is already a truly killer product. The new 192s are going to be lightweight, practically indestructible, stiffer than R. Kelly at recess, and FKNA huge. Ultimate stomp sticks. Get a pair now so you don't have any regrets later.

That you, Kirk? Just emailed you. They're going fast, got a pair left for immediate shipping. But if you're in Cham, that $25 shipping doesn't apply.

Whats the weight on the carbon layup 192's? Is the info posted anywhere else?

Edit: A little research answered my question. Splat, are you going to do any other skis with the carbon layup?

We did a couple proto pair of 179s with carbon under clear topsheets, but really didn't achieve much weight reduction. They look pretty cool. Mostly, we've focused on carbon in the 192 to get some of the weight out of it. A lot of guys are skiing it tele and AT. It's a very stiff ski. And it comes out a hair below 5 lbs per ski. The all glass version weighs a lb more per ski and is a tad softer. Looks like we'll offer the carbon as an option on the 192s. We have some other carbon/glass skis in the works.

Seriously, the few bucks we've made in that store are still in that account, waiting for a very rainy day. When it's worth getting it out, I'll buy Pat lunch with the money.
