Total road bike JONG question ---->

So, I have a 12 speed road bike and the chain is fucking shot. The bike cost me 60 bucks, so im not looking to spend alot on a new chain.

Do I need to get a special chain?

I am the hugest bike tech JONG...

you just need a chain that is 6 speed freewheel compatible (probably it will be 5-6-7 speed compatible), but if the gears are really worn, you may have chain skipping problems with a new chain, then you will need to replace the freewheel and chainrings as well.

^^^what he said. If the chain is that bad, you may have already trashed your free and chain wheels. At $60 it may not be worth replacing everything.

Just spend 5 grand and get a new bike
