Thread: Euro TR: ?????????????

The 07/08 season never really ended here in Euroland but the snow did….until TODAY! This TR is a multiple choice review of the past day in the life of a few Euro Mags kicking off the new season. The rules of the TR are simple. Each pic has a question attached to it with 3 possible answers at the top. Take a guess and see the correct answer at the bottom of the pic. For each answer you get right add 1 point to your score. At the end of the TR you can see where you rank in the “Jones Factor” for the ‘real’ 07/08 season.

Question #1:
Based on the infamous “Snow for the Euros” thread where was the destination of choice to ski on September 29th?
A) Zermatt B) Saas Fee C) Kitzsteinhorn

Question #2:
TeleAl, Ripzalot, BBirttle, Marius, and others were possible shows…Al was so happy he said:
A) Where’s Ripz…I know what time it is! B) I am so stoked to have a job C) ….check the rack out on that MILF

The answer is A, B, and C. Everyone gets a point here.

Question #3:
The music was pumping in Saas Fee with crazy MILFs in full effect…and “the twins” (real name unknown) were killing it with the pseudo-karaoke set-up. The one on the right was multi-talented….how many instruments did she play?

The answer B (that we know off) ..Flute and Sax.

After about 4 hours of sleep we were up at the break of dawn. The day was looking good. What time was the first lift?

Question #5:
We were at the lift at around 7:45, but didn’t reach the top until 9ish. Why?
A) Crazy guy on the right got in a fight with Ripz because he was taking photos without his permission. B) It was “b-30” C) F’in gapers and racers clogged the line to make 1st “piste” turns!

Question #6:
Holy Sh-t Ripzalot is on skis with Al, why are these the only two pictures that you will see of him in this TR?
A) He takes the best pictures B) It was “b-30” C) Geo is an idiot and forgot to take extra batteries for his camera.

A or C works here. For the record, he is getting much better and will rock this season as a two-planker convert.

I missed the question on the multi-talented twins, but I got all the others.

What do I win except a fucked up back that makes it almost impossible to walk? I woke up properly to the alarm I set at 4:30 this morning but had to roll out of bed, unable to stand up. After half an hour of stretching and looking at my packed gear without improvement I went back to sleep.

Have been making my best hunchback imitation in the apartment all day, fearing the arrival of pictures like that. Fuck. I hate you.

Nice going guys, looks like a great day. Would have looked to make the trip down from Zurich but had my dad visiting. Am sure I´ll hook up with some of you this winter as will be spending it down in verbier.

Those first 2 pow turns felt like a dream.
Afterall, they were the first 2 turns of the season!

I had my camera with me, a new one, complete with battery life, and multi-shot.
See question #8 and add the wrist brace to know why I was a lazy ass and didn't take it out.

I was so fortunate to be writing my final paper.
But i know now that much of the warming during the last 20 years in the alps is not because of global warming! It's the NAO's fault. pray for a negative NAO pattern = pray for a good winter. (colder AND more precip).

and greg: marius is "studying in switzerland" now. And no one invites you along because they're scared of instant death following your tracks hrr hrr.
