When the pirates are your customers...
it rarely ends well.
Looks like these guys chartered the boat, killed the crew, ran out of gas on the way to Cuba, bailed out into the lifeboats, and were found by the coast guard. Scary to think about for charter captains. Could happen a lot more often.

not to be a hater but.... $4000 for a 50 mile trip and no one smells a rat?"Those 1%ers are not an avaricious "them" but in reality the most entrepreneurial of "us". If we had more of them and fewer grandstanding politicians, we would all be better off."

Sounds like the guy from Arkansas had a lot of legal baggage and was looking for a fresh start. I bet he was going to try to pass himself off as a Cuban refuge in a life raft and get a whole new life in the U.S.
Personally, I think these guys should be tortured until they admit what they did, then executed. But then again I was stuck in gridlock for an hour this AM moving a total of 50 feet so I'm a little biased....And the greatest ice must crumble when it's flower's time to grow.

Something about this case resonates with me and I am sympathetic with the crew. Those waters are beautiful, but to be tossed off a boat into them!
The suspects' story is pure horseshit, btw.I'm just a simple girl trying to make my way in the universe...
I come up hard, baby but now I'm cool I didn't make it, sugar playin' by the rules
If you know your history, then you would know where you coming from, then you wouldn't have to ask me, who the heck do I think I am.
