Free 188 Bro's w/solly 997's
STOP SENDING ME PM's IF YOU WANT THEM POST WHY IN THIS THREAD!!!!
1st year 188 Bro softs (blems), have super burly bases(I think they were from some snowboard company) Only real blem I can see is a lower profile tip. Binders are solly 997's. These are free because these boards and binders were a gift from splat when all my gear was stolen out of my truck a few years back. They are in great shape-no core shots, like I said bases are bomber, edges are good, nice thick coat of summer wax on'em right now. So tell me why I should send these skis to you. Oh, as far as guidelines go if you are the chosen one all I ask is that when the time comes you pass it on for free as well. That means no you can't sell any part of it-unless of course it's for hookers and blow

I've got an interesting thought. Not a lot of people in Idaho have ever heard of Bros. I could slap some demo bindings on them and anyone that wants to try around here including the Brundage, Tamarack, Bogus and Sun Valley area could have a go at them. I already have Bros so I'm not in need or want really. Just thinking it might drum up some business and hook up the PM Gear boys who have hooked a lot of us up. The Splatster would definitely have to chime in here though.
And if someone is truly in need of some sticks, forget I mentioned this.

Just curious but what better reason than because a person wants to ski on them?
Conundrum, its a nice idea, but I doubt many buissness would want to have blemed gear set up as a demo model for people who had never head of them before.

Conundrum-good idea, I'll keep this open for a few days to see what comes of it but definitely something to think about
And as for all the pming just post your reasons why in this thread-that way the collective can add their .02

If I wasn't currently in the process of purchasing some Fat Bro's from Cinnepa I would beg, plead, whimper, and moan until you gave them to me.

oops, sent a PM while you posted this. Sorry...
I would love to snag these things for me real bro. He hasn't ever skied a pair of skis over 80mm under foot and these would be perfect for him to try out a bigger ski. He's coming home this November after spending the last two ski seasons at the South Pole (not skiing). These would make a perfect homecoming gift for him.
Ok, that's basically what my PM saidLast edited by SafteySquad; 09-07-2007 at 02:32 PM.

Ahh what the hell.
I need them because I have a very very very small penis. I mean teeny tiny.
188 Bro's would make me forget about my tiny man stick and when it comes to pleasing the old lady in the bedroom.........I'll just give it to her with one of those 188's!

I'm guessing it's a cosmetic blem or at least a blem that doesn't affect how they ski. I'm not a shop so I don't carry insurance and wouldn't let people I didn't know ski on them for legal and liability reasons.
More of a "Hey bro (no pun), check out these skis" kind of a deal.
Plus, not so much in the ski industry, but in a lot of other sporting good industries, demo fleets are made up of cosmetic blems ie kayaking, kite boarding, tennis, etc. That's why you see "demo" stamped into the gear. Athletes will often get blemmed gear too because it works the same but the company couldn't sell it for because of the cosmetic blem. When was the last time you saw Volkl selling off it's blems to the public. It just happened the Bros spawned from powdermaggots and Splat is one of us so he hooks that up.

I absolutely love the look of the 188 BROs, so much that I've made the picture of Trygve Lunheim at Sunnmøre my background. I'm an ECer, so if people see me skiing them at the local mt, they'll want to know more and I'll be able to tell them about PM Gear and how Splat et. al. are awesome. Plus, I'm a poor college student, and I'm going to try bumming it in Ootah this winter. It would be a privilege to skis BROs.
"Oh, no pics. To simulate the skiing today, walk out your door, grab a handful of snow, and throw it in your face. Repeat as necessary.
If you don't have snow outside your door, what the fuck are you living there for?"
