We've been getting a lot of buzz about the sale and we aren't sure yet whether or not we will sell out in an hour or if it will take a few days. We will try and update this as we gather more info.

As far as camber goes its designed at 10mm. It seemed to have lost 1-2mm in the build process but that may be the test sample that we have been flexing about 20 times a day. It basically 3/4" between the 2 skis when stacked together with no load.

They're in the works for next season. We just didn't have the budget to produce all the sizes we wanted this year.

Thanks for the input. Keep it coming.

    Shitchyeah. LL/Bariloche. Aug 30th - Sept 20th.

I've just realized that I'm not that down with my exploders/freerides combo. I prefer a touch more sidecut for inbounds and the exploders 1) don't float all that great due to the stiffness (they're ok) 2) bust crud very well (which i don't due much of while touring/sidecountry hiking) 3) aren't too light and 4) feel rather dead when you hike for an hour and have about 3 turns to warm up.

In other words, something wider, softer and snappier with a similar shape and similar or lesser weight might be just right. Some kind of funShape (weird word) might be better for mostly powder touring but this is my only touring ski so I think it's good to stick with traditional shape/camber.

    Apologies for the mini-hijack.

    hmm, okay I'll bite.

Be kind to the shorter and lighter of us, who aren't going to tour on a longer ski just to gain cred.

And besides, the mid-fat snowlerblade section in my quiver is already full.

...for most indie ski companies, the biggest issue is delaming and bindings ripping out. Have you guys tested enough boards to solve this issue?

This is something that we have been aware of and hopefully took the necessary measures to prevent.

We have doubled up the fiberglass underfoot to help reinforce binding retention and create a strong mounting area. (We should probably add that to our site)

As far as delam we first looked for a factory that could produce samples that would hold up. We tried to trash the samples that we had and they were rock solid. Also, we only have sandwich construction in our line up which tend to delam less than cap skis among indie companies and some big companies too. We also stayed away from the factories that had problems. We are in Utah but heard horror stories about Revolution and even though the convenience would have been there we just couldn't sacrifice quality.

We feel that we have put together a quality product. We want everyone that buys a pair to ski them as hard as the can and want. If the skis aren't holding up to the riders specifications then we will make them better. We don't think that will be the case but we want everyone to know that the skis on the Sept sale will be covered with a one year warranty.

The thing is, there are roughly 20 fucking-gazillion skis to choose from in that size.

If you ski on something 190+, your choices are VERY limited.

Since your post was so tactful, I'll let you off this time, Jong.

We hope it will encourage people to register so that we have a better idea of demand. It should be around midnight anyway but if there is a really high demand we will let everyone that has registered know first when the time will be (maybe earlier). It will also help relieve our servers and maybe get them ready for on onslaught.

criscam leaves for Bariloche 8/24. I'm sure if he was handed a free pair of Districts (he's in Bountiful), he'd be happy to provide a full report on their performance upon his return 9/3. ....and perhaps via the interweb prior to the 9/1 sale. Point is criscam loves free skis and helping mags out. Win win.

This would be a great idea - you wouldn't even have to give them to him, just loan 'em out for the week so he can post up his reviews. That way, we all can have some idea as to how they ski before the sale.........the pressure would be on criscam for sure..........

The way criscam skis, they probably wouldn't want them back, but in all seriousness, he has a pretty good ski resume as far as gear he has been on. His current quiver includes 183 Sugar Daddies, 189 Seth Vicious, 190 Gotamas, 179 Prophet 100s and probably others I'm forgetting, but point being is the Districts are right in his wheel house for giving a pretty knowledgable (and meaningful) review. He knows nothing about this and may not want to lug another pair of skis down there, but I think that's bridge he crosses if offered the Districts gratis. I mean, for the sake of $250, if he comes back with a stellar review, I'm sure it would boost the sales from this community at least..... Oh, he'd probably want bindings too.

How the hell can anyone go wrong for $250!!! What else can you buy new at that price?? There is an awful lot of shit talk from jongs who should really just SACK UP & throw down the $250 & see for your selves how they will ski. Worst case scenario, you don’t like them after a few days of skiing, they’d probably still be in good shape & you could easily sell them & get your meager $250 back out of them. For $250, I plan on keeping mine & skiing them A LOT. I’ll most likely buy 2 pairs as well.
