My wife doesn't know about the purchase of the Districts yet. They will magically "appear" mid-winter and be "some skis I picked up on craigslist for cheap."

Mike made his purchase at 7:24 AM on Saturday.

Bluehouse thanks everyone for their purchases thus far.

    Any other good stories?

I told this chick that wanted to party that she would have to wait until 12:05, i had some serious internet buying to do.

    Funny Story,
samtheman started drinking before buying the skis right after they went on sale. We're in VT so thats 2am. The next day his confirmation email says he spent 370 or something like that. Turns out he chose expidated shipping instead of having bluehouse hold on to them so Soul_Skier could pick them up for him. I think he worked it all out before they shipped. Slick move.

Anyways Trigger pulled. I am also Making Soul_Skier pick up my pair... Thanks Man

Exact same thing happened to me. I'm in PA so I had to wait until 2 am as well. I go out to a couple parties, get back around 3, and sit down to order my skis. I noticed the default shipping was set to the express, so I changed to to the $20 shipping I wanted. I clicked the add to cart button, but forgot to put in the quantity so it didn't go to the cart. I went back through, changed the quantity to 1, but didn't change the shipping again. I noticed right after I put the order through. I called at 3:10 am, talked to someone while I was still very hammered, think I gave a lot of praise to the bluehouse guys, and expect everything will be worked out before they're set to ship.

Nope, 8 left. Could not sleep at 2AM, so I figured I check the site out and pass back out after I got board. Saw this post, got stoked, emailed my bros, bought a pair myself. Now I really won't get back to sleep before leaving to surf at 6AM Very cool deal. If anything like the Gotamas I will be very happy for Christmas. Thanks Bluehouse, great marketing idea.

do it, then you can join samtheman, allentaylor and possibly phall as part of the uber exclusive club of burlington/uvm people who ski 187 districts, a club that sadly, I am not and do not foresee joining, but you should

Fine, dammit. Trigger pulled. I wasn't going to, but with only 3 left, I felt lucky.

But my shipping options were all $0.00, so I didn't know which was the cheapest one. I picked FedEx Ground, as opposed to FedEx Home. I don't know a damned thing about FedEx, but I'm sure they will find me.

Argh. I had just sacked up enough to buy them and now they are gone...I could also fill another spot in the quiver...possibly the 179 MRs?

Why not? If you don't want them, I'm sure someone here will want to trade districts for the stiffer MR.

Now we all get a free tune.

    From the website:
We’ve been trying to think of ways to provide extra value to our customers who participated in the pre-season sale and it finally hit us . . . provide a ski tune far superior to the factory tune that accompanies most new skis. We approached the guys at Park’s Sportsman (644 North State Street in Orem, Utah) to help with the job since they have killer machines and ultra talented shop employees. We’ve got to thank Park’s because they have really hooked-up our customers. You’ve got to love shops like Park’s that are ultra supportive of the skiing community and are willing to support indy companies like us and to host events like the DNA summer rail jam tour

Dare I say that these guys are doing a bang-up job of marketing. The cardinal rule of exceeding expectations seems to be appreciated by Bluehouse, and it will serve them - as well as their customers - well.

Well, you know, since the skis are already in the shop anyway...

I was just about to post some photos of where we stand with tuning and shipping, but it looks like mmmthmtskier is all over it.

Thanks for keeping up with it. And yes, this is a serious task for three guys. We're all taking some time off from our regular jobs to make sure they get out on time.

You'll be seeing the goods soon!
