Bah, they sound softer than Kingswoods, that is no good.
I still maintain that bamboo skis with metal would rock but nobody has done it yet.

So sad...hoping for a Got, getting close to a blue noodle?

Bamboo isn't longitudanally stiff by itself, hence the carbon fiber added to the Kingswoods.
I could see these current Bluehouse models being really fun newschool style skis for freestyle applications, I was even thinking of the 179 MRs for a mess around freestylie ski. But I think even for my goof off ski I want it to be able to smash crud alright.
I really like the Prophet 90 because it is soft enough to goof off on but has the metal matrix that really allows it to be skied when necessary.
I had Extra Flex KW Midfats last year and they just plain needed metal in my opinion.

Website Back Up
I apologize to all those who tried to pre-register within the past 36 hours but were unable. We just got our SSL certificate so that we can process your payments over a secure connection and that required moving our site to a dedicated IP. The short of it is that while the DNS servers were learning the new IP address, our server commands were not working. Everything is back up now. Sorry for the confusion and frustration.

^^ yea, an exact time would be helpful at thsi point.
i'm sure bluehouse would hate to see purchases lost due to potential buyer frustration.

Payment
I was wondering what different methods of payment Bluehouse would be excepting?

is that a threat, or just a weak attempt to be in control?
you know it's going to be sometime on the 1st, they've been following this thread, they know people want to know ASAP the exact time, it's already been made clear they will be letting people know by email...let it go, man, let it go...

Official Start-Time
We plan to proceed as previously posted by first sending an email to those who are pre-registered. However, pre-registered or not, once the prices change, it's a free for all. It will be sometime around midnight (MST), but please know we are not trying to jerk you around or make you stay up all night. We just want to make sure everything is working properly and that all support staff are ready when we make the products available.
Second, as you may or may not have seen when visiting the site, we are processing payments through Google Checkout. If you have previously paid through GC, processing should be cake. If you have not, we apologize in advance for having to set up a second account.
We're crossing our fingers that the sale goes off without a hitch.Bluehouse Ski Co.

The 8/27 blog post mentioned that there should be some more reviews coming in that would be put up...any word on them or if they are expected to come in before the sale? I think they would be really helpful for people like myself who are still on the fence.

I'm w/ ELPG. Would be really curious to hear more as well.
Pictures, and short vids of the ski in action may be unreasonable, but appreciated.
I'd be curious how they performed in specific terrain types.

To avoid the crunch at gametime, you can set up your google checkout account ahead of time.... checkout.google.com

If you don't have snow outside your door, what the fuck are you living there for?"

I'm not sure anyone has posted reviews independent of what we gathered on our blog, even though we asked them to. I'll shoot everyone who went an email right now and ask them to post to this thread. Hopefully they will post in time.

Anyone received an email yet?
Since I am eight hours ahead of Utah and trying to plan my next 24 hours of drinking I just want to know if I have to set my alarm clock/sleep at my house tonite for the sale that starts tomorrow.
It sounds like it is going to be a truly shitshow of an evening, so just trying to plan ahead a bit

It has been established that these are soft skis. I wonder if they are softer than my 188 Guns that I am trying to unload. This whole soft thing is worring me. I may have to back out as well. I wish someone who rode them could point out a ski that was softer than the Districts.
Can't find or remeber any info on 188 Guns VS. Seths. If Districts are softer than Seths, how would a Gun fit in?

Thanks for the quick info a.s.ripper. I am really interested and I don't need them to be super firm. I wouldn't mind if they were in the soft ski catagory; but, they sound like they may just be way too soft. I guess I still have a few hours to decide.

Honestly speaking, for heavier agressive skiers say over the 180lb mark, they would make a better quiver ski. I think average or lighter weight skiers could use them more as an all day all conditions or one ski quiver. Again, only speculation and for the price of $250, it's worth trying them. There will be pleny of people out there who would gladly take them off your hands if after you get them & decide they are too soft. I think both skis will be great & from seeing them in real life, they look & feel as good as what you see in the shops. I hope these guys do well. They're off to a great start!

Yeah, I also hope these guys do well. It's just that I'm a 200lb aggressive fatty. Hopefully that puts my skepticism of being soft into perspective. I may just pick up a pair anyway and see.
