TR: Trail 157
Was supposed to go mtn biking with some co-workers on Sunday, but everyone bailed except for one, so we decided to get high to get out of the heat. We headed over to the North Fork of the American Fork.
After 4 miles of rough dirt roads we parked at Dutchman Flats and started climbing. And climbing. Topping our brought some great views.

Anyone recognize this? (of course you do)

A little more up and down on some sweet singletrack

brought us to a loooong downhill to the car. You keep on dropping off the horizon line on the left..

It rained that morning and the trails were sticky.

and back to car..

After we dropped to the lake on singletrack the rest was on double track. I was bummed that we were going to waste all our climbing on a jeep road, but it turned out to be the best part of the ride - tons of bedrock and rockhits to jump off of. Sweeeeet.

Nice, love that trail one of the best in the Wasatch. A great route is Big Cottonwood to Sundance. Up Brighton, down Snake Creek, up to 157 all the way to Sundance and the bar. Sick ride and really nice in the fall colors.
