S.P.Y absolutely went in on his set the other night. Definitely check him out if he's rolling through your area. http://esp-agency.co.uk//news/spy-tours-usa
I went nuts when he dropped this track.

Sick. I would definitely plan to see him if he came through. I'm
A big fan of his style of tracks. Don't miss Marky if he rolls through, my wife actually enjoyed his DJ set years ago, he really gets into it.
No SF dates. I remember a time when SF was the #1 spot for USA dnb...guess times change. Oh well.
Here's a S.P.Y influenced POV vid I made two seasons ago:

I'm obsessed with this tune from Taxman right now. I think the opener for S.P.Y dropped it last week with very good results. Love the drop.
You can bet that the second I hear about Marky coming through either Boston or Montreal I'll be buying tickets. I wish the scene here in Burlington was bigger. The electronic scene is definitely growing, but it's highly opinionated and polarized. Most of the college kids are really into dubstep, but will instantly hate on drum and bass if someone starts playing it. I don't get it.
I hadn't really listened to any of his music before today. I think I'll be listening to his tracks a whole lot more in the future.
I find it funny that just 6 months ago I barely listened to dnb and now it seems to be the music that I'm listening to 90% of the time.

Well, Dbridge and Lynx played last night...er....early this morning but impossible for a guy with two kids who just got back from Oahu and has to work.
I think LTJ Bukem arrives on October 21st...I'll let you know if I'm able to attend. Its always nice to see the spaceman.
Dom & Roland...I own every vinyl/cd he has put out...yep, every single one since Saigon 001. His new album drops on Monday and it sounds just as awesome as his first album in the late 90's. Well, in my opinion that is.

Lynx and Kemo are in Cambridge on Thursday night. Heading down there for that show, I've heard good things about Lynx's sets. Word is also that he's been playing out some big, big tunes that are on his forthcoming album.

666, is Chemical Records generally where you get your vinyl? I think I'm going to pull the trigger on some turntables next week. I discovered today that two tracks I've been digging hard will only be released on vinyl, so that convinced me to pick up some tables as I've been on the fence about getting some for a while now.
Here's the release I'm talking about. http://soundcloud.com/stholdings/new...-authority-off

This video of DJ Marky going nuts may be one of the greatest youtube videos I've ever seen. He gets into it.

Yeah, hard to beat that place. My last order was shipped on a Friday and arrived at my door in San Francisco the following Thursday morning. There's been times when I've received packages in 3 days of being shipped.
In the US, Sector Shop took over the old Breakbeat Science stock/online music. For used vinyl, I would get a discogs account, make a wish list, and they will email you when people have them for sale. Of course, Ebay works as well.

yeah chemical has the best collection i've seen and the prices aren't too bad either with the exchange rate and shipping. picked up a white label copy of s.p.y's remix of in the waiting line, the latest ram release from culture shock, and preordered shogun's the way of the warrior lp, which i am really, really looking forward to.
i also just recently came across this place www.trainspottersmusic.com. they're based in cambridge, ma, and while they are online only, i can do local pickup when i'm down nearby visiting my parents. they also will deliver to the local dnb night, which is where i saw s.p.y. heading down there to see tc at the end of the month. his new track 'tap ho' is a stomper. definitely snagging this one on vinyl when it gets released next week.

I'm giving away some of my age here but in 94-96 or so, I used to be able to get almost all the dnb releases I could ever want from a Tower Records in Campbell, CA. That's right, Tower Records. Now its limited to a few places in SF, with Amoeba records being the only place that actually has a 'used dnb' vinyl section.

Condition, the new Calibre album is well worth a look/listen. Such a great idea packaging the cd with the vinyl release.
