Exporting HD video to a smaller, more usable size?
So, I just edited a short little video with using FC Express. The footage is HD quality, and when exported the resolution is so massive that its 5 times the size of my screen and 54 seconds of footage is nearly 700 megabytes!
I can't figure out how to export a lesser quality video so that I can upload and share online more easily.
thanks.

If you want to maintain HDV resolution minimum of 720p, the a bitrate between around 5,000 is a good place to start. For 1080, you need a minimum bitrate of 6,000. This is for WMV.
In my opinion, Quicktime HDV is a processor hog, and most people can't watch high bitrate (above 3500) with smooth playback. That's why I have been hosting most HDV vids in WMV, and a lower rez around 2500 bitrate in QT.
