Wanted to Borrow: Cassette tool and Chainwip
Either borrow, or buy cheaply if anyone has any old ones they are not using. I am swapping my cassette to my new wheels this week, and I have NO tool to do it, and I do not want to get raped at a bike shop for such an easy task.
I have to check on my cassette, but I am pretty sure it is a SRAM nine-speed...
thanks!

I do it for $5, not exactly rape.

well, that is not exactly rape, you are correct...
I was referring to the LBS near my house and work. But, I could find somewhere else I guess. Just thought I would do it myself. Cost of the tools is around 25-30 bucks, but I would rather give someone a 6'er to borrow. Thanks for the offer, Squatch, but I will try and find someone in my neighborhood first.

Total price for those tools = $20. Well worth the investment.
This is the worst pain EVER!

I have a chain whip I'll sell for $10 shipped. It's a generic brand but works just as well as my Park whip. I don't think I could get it to you in time for this switch but you could have it for next time.

If you are somewhat mechanically inclined, and access to bar stock/steel scrap, and have an old chain, you can build yourself a chainwhip pretty easily on the cheap. Just a thought to expand your toolchest if so inclined.

I am going to buy the tools, but all these offers of beer associated with said wheel-swap has got me thinking going that route. I am SOOOO strapped for cash right now, that I am going to take pechel or vicious up on their offers, but next week I am buying the tools. Guys, I will be in touch...thanks!
