    ECers...7/21 bike in VT weekend

I'm going to be up at my house in Ludlow on 7/21. A bunch of us are going out biking, maybe hiking/kayaking for the non-bikers and definitely grilling up stuff.

If interested in this Sprite shindig, shoot me a PM and let me know. Lots of floor space, nice flat yard for camping too. And limited bed/couch space (you'll have to kick-box each other for it, that will be the evening's entertainment).

Tentative plans are to ride from Ludlow VT to the long trail brewery and back. Other routes are being explored.

I'll be there! Too bad I can't imbibe at Long Trail, but at least I can enjoy a plate of poppers!!!

Oh, and how much bacon will there be this time?

That sounds like fun - too bad I work all the time.

You should extend that ride by making a left at Rt 4, Make another left at the Gondola station, and do the loop towards and down the access road, and then a right back towards 100. Nice little 10 mile thing they paved a few years ago.

It isn't necessary to imagine the world ending in fire or ice. There are two other possibilities: one is paperwork, and the other is nostalgia.

We will be there! So besides beer and bacon, what else can I bring Sprite? (besides my ability to injure myself at everyone of your parties...)

Ride to the LT sounds GREAT! Can't wait to see everyone again.

No worries, Train...then You can go fetch us a few gallons of water at the Shaws instead.

Let's just hope that the gates are not locked upon your return though!

And bumpskier, how many road signs should we try to tag with "Change For A Nickel?" stickers?

You know...I still have a scar on my arm from that crash. I'm thinking I should change my screen name to Scar, or Crash, or something funny like that. Even mountain biking Wednesday I managed to bruise and cut my legs all up. Do guys dig scars, like chicks do?? Wait, bluebird - do YOU dig scars???

In all fairness I must blame my cluztiness on myself ...It doesn't matter where I am or who I am with, (or what I am doing for that matter) I pretty much always manage to get a little (or a lot) banged up. So Train, I am guessing yes is the answer to the question at hand. It's more a matter of HOW am I going to hurt myself this time??

And Plakes, I say we get every single sign between Shaws beer aisle and the Long Trail. We should have a record setting "nickel" tagging weekend. And take lots of pictures because it's fun! Wait, how many stickers do we have? Paging Steve to the TGR sticker aisle, we have a code blue.

I can't wait to see everyone!! Let's get our group ride on. I've never riden in a group larger than 2, so this will be a learning experience for me. Let's hope I don't crash.

Bumpskier on a group ride=danger....especially considering she rides with headphones and constantly sings to herself.

It will be an interesting ride. Can't wait.

Hahahah! I do that too, w/ the headphones. Well, not unless I'm riding alone b/c I've gotten "complaints" about it.

Should be a nice time! Bumpskier, we'll have to put you in some kind of padded suit. Or maybe a padded room? Something like that!

People are going to start thinking I beat her, at least from the waist down. After our trip to the Northeast Kingdom (tr coming soon) on Wednesday she looks like she has been to hell and back.

    Pads are in her future.

oh gee, this makes my head feel funny.

i was going to be there, but not there, so I could volunteer for the vermont 100 mile endurance run..

but a ride to the Long Trail might be fun too.

    arg.

maybe i'll bring my bike, just in case.

My husband and I have been thinking of attending. I had planned to PM Sprite after we knew whether we could fit it into our weekend plans, still not sure yet.

Our mountain bikes are both in need of repair...would all you active folks mind if the bike we show up on is a Harley? We promise to hold seats for you at the LT Brewery.

Anyone have a "Got Bacon" sticker for the Hog?
