The leelau ole skool northshore pic request thread

Seeing those gems in the old summer pic thread piqued my interest. I started riding mountain bikes around 97 and as soon as I started paying attention to the associated media, noticed this 'shore' place in the occasional photo.

You were part of it........you helped it survive the early turmoils.......and I know you've got some cool old pictures of you guys tearing it up. In being part of the hood that was a pretty big influence in defining a significant segment of what mountain biking is today, you have to have some history in your posession.

    Whatcha got?

Yeah, Lee & his wife Sharon did a lot for the trails in the Shore area. I still remember his pictures from MTBR back when MTBR wasn't a commercial site.

In case Lee doesn't come in soon, here are some oldschool no-Shore pics to pass the time and avoid utter boredom. Some from Virgin, some from random spots in Unabomberland.

Why yes indeed, it surely is!

And it's Grant Helgeson riding the downhill movable ladder. He successfully made that little gap he's coming up to. Our ladder return system of rope, pulleys and weight didn't work out as well as we hoped.

actually - I only started riding in North Van in 1993 and got thrashed so bad i didnt go back till 1995 so am a latecomer to the sport/ hey my bikes even had cantis and front suspension when i started out. There's a lot of old timers with way more shots. Smoke for example.
