    Fishing Store TR

So here is a TRUE fishing TR. I went to the fishing store and bought......

just my license. No flies, no new fly boxes, no new hat, not even new leaders, tippet, or flies. So this means one of two things:

    A) It has been so long since I have been fishing that I am not sure what stuff I am missing and need.

    B) I will only figure out what I am missing and need when I get to the river see fish rising everywhere and realize what flies they are keying in on and how many of those flies I am out of.

I'm going to try to do that same thing more often, not buy flies. More often than not I use the same shit i always do and catch just as many on the standards (parachute, royal wolf etc). But for some reason I feel compelled to ask what is doing well and buy 10 bucks worth of flies. Then the next time I'm out I can't figure out for the life of my why I have them?

I have been keeping myself out of the tackle store a lot lately. For some reason I always get stuff I really don't need. As I was going through my boat this weekend I honestly could not believe all the stuff I "thought" I needed at some time. It is going to get a thorough going through this week and I will probably get rid of about 150 pounds of junk.
