With the summer weather more people will be thinking about riding their bikes for exercise and to commute to work. Share the road and share the responsibility for making your commute a safe one.


Some Key Safety Points to remember when cycling:

Do a Bike Check
Do you have a bike? Yes, then start pedalling. Are your brakes working? If not use heel of bike shoe.



Gear up. Wear a Bike Helmet
But don’t wear it backwards, you’ll look like a tool.

Follow the Rules of the Road
The rule for bikers as it applies to four ways stops means look, then go, but don’t slow down.

Drivers Can’t Avoid You if they Can’t See You
Make yourself visible to everyone but don’t wear pink, as that’s just ghey.


Use Hand Signals
Using the proper hand signals, tells other users of the road if you are planning to turn left or right, or if you are about to stop. Or use the middle finger when a driver pisses you off.


Slow Down
Don't slow down. Speed is your friend. Passing cars going down Home Road is fun. Anyone that tells you different is ghey. Speeding tickets on the bike paths are a badge of honour. The number of people you pass in the morning is an indication on how well you are doing. If your not passing 10 people your not trying hard enough you fat bastard


Plan your Route
Don’t you know where your going? Maybe you shouldn’t ride a bike. Maybe a 10 year old can show you the way.


Ride Single File
This also applies to bike paths as you’re probably a slow bastard so stay to right so I can pass your slow ass.


No Limits
When you first start your probably going to be sore then next day. This is good. Shows that your not a lazy bastard. Go as fast as you can all the time. If you don’t you’ll still be a slow fat bastard.
