    Obsidian Skis

    Obsidian Australian skis?
Vertically laminated bamboo cores, 2.2mm Rockwell 48 edges, titanium, carbon fiber, bamboo sidewalls, P4000 bases, each length has different geometry. Own 'factory" (not outsourced yet).

    Anyone seen these?

I won't take any Aussie company seriously until Paul Hogan shills for them.

I fully expect the Australian skis to be as good as their ski terrain.

Well... they definitely use nice materials. Not bad shapes either... I'm intrigued.

When the snows here all the resorts bar, Baw Baw, can have some great terrain, obviously you just don't know where to look. Hardly any 'real' terrain is marked as most Australian resorts are tourist based and not designed around 'skiers'. Rope ducking is tolerated but frowned upon. Theres no comparison between terrain in the US and in Australia but there is plenty "good" in Australia.

Mt. Beauty is a not a ski resort its cheap accommodation for Falls Creek skiers, however it does host the Nat. MTB events year round.

Interesting company the materials in the skis look topnotch bamboo, carbon, titanium, if i get a chance to test some a review will follow.
