    Thumbs up 2010 stumpy with 650 wheels/tires

    update

Just a quick update, got to ride the stumpy with the 650b wheels/tires. In spite of a slightly higher BB which to me was barely noticeable the bike performed flawlessly. I rode almost the same loop trail on 26" brand new exiwolf tires then switched over to the 650 w/neomotos Roll over was improved, several log piles where no touch where I had some trouble with a few on the 26". Pedal strikes went way down, we have tons of rocks and timing along with a tad more clearance was key. All in all I like it, it give me some flexibility with picking the the wheel/tire combo that will work the best.

laxman's internet pose is so deep now, he uses pictures of other people's bikes, taken by other people, on trails laxman never will ride. that's so sweet, an entire e-persona fabricated from the InterWebToobz. sweet.

it's a good thing it's all faked, laxman. that nose-down saddle would surely cause you some shoulder & trapezius cramping on a long ride -- if you were actually riding!

Here is the hippster rig I have been tinkering with. I should have never been a single speed, especially with those vertical drop-outs. Likely going to get restored to a multi-speed with some vintage cinelli drops and new crank arms, etc. For now, fun to screw around town on.

Opted out of the MFA. Now I'm working at Zumiez until that new french cafe wises up and lets me start serving demi-baguettes in a train conductor's hat.

New to me '06 Ironhorse 7Point. Started at 45#s now down to 39.5, target is somewhere around 35

Been beat to shit by the 13 year old I bought it from off. Never seen a minute of service in a shop. After an initial wipe down I knocked off a pound of purely dirt, most of it in the PACKED handlebars. So far I've:

    -Cleaned out and re-greased
    --Headset
    --Headset Bearings
    --BB threads
    --Through axles
    --Seat tube
    --Rear derailleur cogs
    -New chain
    -Cleaned cassette
    -Bled Brakes and replaced pads
-Changed tires and tubes to non DH style

    To-do and wish list:
    -Replace cassette
    -Overhaul hubs
-Replace rims with non-UST style and relace with new, unbent and properly tensioned spokes
    -Rebuild fork
    -Replace or re-lube suspension bearings
    -Strip and repaint
    -DER HAMMERSCMIDT
-6 inch rotors with better brakes

So with all of the colors on that baby what will be the color choice for the stem?
