Las Lenas - Finally a Hostel

Well it is in Los Molles and not Las Lenas but 10 minutes away by car.
Run by longtime local and patroller Jose who speaks excellent english and
knows the valley and Las Lenas ski resort like the back of his hand.
They will be doing way better transfers to the hill than Los Molles Hotel
and you will get to Las Lenas at a good time in the morning, not like
10:30 AM with Hotel Los Molles. As well you can pay to go into Las
Lenas at night and come back. Big plus is the free wifi wireless.
    All the info is here

Great News! Jose is one of the few Argentine patroler's who thinks like a skier. I am sure he will do this hostel right. He is a class act!

Hard Part is the 900 bucks plus to fly there. A lot of scratch to lay down on a snow gamble.

che boludos. actually there has been a hostel in LL, but on the very down-low for some reason. i met the owners when i was bumming around potrerillos(outside of mendoza) at El Puesto hostel for the weekend. turns out these two clowns own the awesome Lupolo Pub in mendoza (great homebrew), the hostel in Potrerillos, AND a super secret hostel in villa LL. great guys. don´t remember their names, but the guys who runs the hostel in LL they called Gordo (thank goodness for no politically correctness down here) and their numbers are 0261-15-454-9625 and 0261-15-4674356.

dusting on cerro catedral right now, looking out my kitchen window. Cerro Lopez awaits with 3-6 inches.

now that i think about it....EnLos should have his TGR ski hostel up and running in the chateau soon.

Is that the same Gordo reported lost on Frankie's but found at the base having an ice cream, causing Marte to go on hold?

    Do it!

Or at least get a credit card with a mileage plan and start working at racking up the miles for '08. Use the thing like a checking account + on line bill paying + credit account checks = get you down there before you know it.

Split It and EnLosAndes, where are you guys? EnLos, not really at Llao Llao itself?
I'll be very near by in late Aug, down that way on the lake. Coffee sometime, perhaps?
Will ping you when it gets closer, please keep me posted on conditions! Could you ski up on Lopez yet?
Maybe I'll have to find a way to come sooner...

Why not Llao Llao proper? Just cause I am a pseudo maggot doesn't mean I can't live the good life.
Cerro Lopez only has a little white up top. As of yesterday afternoon the summer trail is pretty much dry to the refugio. Peace out.

Hey, good on you if you are at the Llao Llao, it's a gorgeous place!
Most skiers simply stay closer to town, that's all.
I'll probably be out near the hotel too, so I'm happy to hear I won't be all alone out there!

Yossarian, i think my "Location" says it all...in the 'Loche of course. yes, i agree with enlos that town is "re feo" as the chabon's say. and plus, i eat breakfast every morn watching Catedral and Lopez.

but i heard that enlos is opening a hostel on his property. you could fit a dozen brobrah ski bums, half a dozen sexy ski bunnies, or two well-paying americans in the guest chateau. se puede ser? todo bien?
