Look around. A whole lot already have.
And it's getting worse. Look at all the new morans here this week. This place is going from a community to looking like the craigslist rant and rave.
I don't know. I feel a long break coming on. If this place continues to go to hell, maybe it's time for a new home. TGR roolz, but skidog, hairy, jer, dank et.al. are turning this place to shit.Living vicariously through myself.

Come on. Get over it. They are annoying, whatever. Place em on ignore, or use the self-moderated ignore button in your head. Scan the forum for the letters "TR" and enjoy, or just tap "new posts" and look for insights from folks you have come to respect and enjoy. One less thing to worry about in life.
edit to say: I can't argue that banning these asspounders would make it easier, but the alternative is really not that catastrophic.Nodafinga!

There isn't a sense of community anymore, in the global variety. There was a small one to begin with, but as with any utopian idylic society, the disenfranchisement of the masses came with the realization that real people with really f'd up personalities are on the other end of the avatar. Some of those people you like, some.... not so much.
With the shattering of the internet persona the board became a meetinghouse of cliques. The WA clique, the UT clique, the EC clique, the ripper clique, the gaper clique. By virtue of human locality this was bound to happen. However that also gave rise to the cooler than thou, say anything, like to fight troll clique These are the people that defend their actions with the fantastic, never overused "It's the internet, relax, try not to take it so seriously" comment.
I support anyone wanting to leave. If you want to go, go.
What truly bums me out is that several folks here are seriously considering bailing. That would suck a hell of a lot more than some persistant douchebag getting banned.
I did and it was great.
I know some people I count as very good friends. People around since before the first summit who have left. I'd miss their contributions but frankly,
"It's the internet, relax, try not to take it so seriously"

The Suit = alisas for Walter Sobchak?
Has the whole world gone crazy? Am I the only one around here who gives a shit about the rules?
Damn, we're in a tight spot!

Hint, hint, nudge, nudge, wink, wink-
The more of a headache this place becomes for the TGR guys the more likely they're gonna pull the plug on the whole thing rather then waste their energy on something that may generate some goodwill and "++++ vibes" but costs them real time and hard money.

If you notice bad vibes,

people need to show some R E S P E C T for this place.. seems some take it for granted with dumb posts, trolling, flaming, bickering and general stupid behavior.. i hope people wake up and realize how lame things would be without the board..
