Thumbs up Props to Dynafit customer service!

I broke a little plastic heel elevator off my binding my first time out... pretty much due to poor technique on my part. Dynafit/Silvretta guy calls me back, explains to me how to not do that again, asks my address for the replacement. I ask if he'll take mastercard and he goes "don't even worry about it."

comforts are so much shittier than the classics. that little red plastic thing broke on my first day (due to my own idiocy also), but there's no reason that piece shouldn't be a metal triangle like the other ones. all in all the comforts have way to much plastic as compared to the other versions. plastic breaks.

Its worth mentioning that everyone should check the little screws that hold on the grey\red volcano's on the comforts

mine were a little bit loose the other day

i could imagine this causing some problems.

also let the heel spring turn the heel rather than forcing it with your pole
by that i mean get it rotated a bit to the detent, and keep giving it a little twist until the detent slips and the spring pops it around
sure way to keep your volcano happy

    Question Dynafit Comfort breakage/spare

Somebody on the site asked how you could break the little plastic push tab on the front of the Dynafit Comfort binding. Well, I hit a tree very gently, and found it had snapped off one binding. My local store (which stocks Dynafit) is completely unhelpful. Is there anything I can do, even up to getting a new single toe piece complete? Thanks, guys.

The classics have less plastic... but the comforts have longer pins. I'll take the longer pins.

Post the phone number, if it's public info. I can't get them to reply.

    Thanks.

Had to call Life Link to get the number but when I called the other day to replace the base plates of my comforts (shattered both base plates under the toes) they were super helpful, asked for my address immediately and then wanted to see pictures as they hadn't heard about that happening.

e-mail is service AT salewa DOT us

Ryan was the guy that hooked me up

    Thumbs up

Bump for Salewa customer service props. Not only did they send me base plates for my comforts no questions asked but they also were on the money with responding to a couple of questions I had about mounting. Respect earned.

Posted some photos of the broken base plates and a little write up about my experience with them

I broke half of the plastic lever on my speeds. I sent it in last week and received the toepiece back 3 days later as good as new. Great service!

I have broken both volcano pieces, but also bent the plates they are mounted on. My local shop ordered new pieces. Cost about 30 bucks.
