    Your Coolest Summit Moment

With so many threads about to get going as the Summit concludes, I thought it best to have a singular thread for everyone to drop their memories into. I'll start.

The coolest moment for me was meeting and skiing with SheRa on Saturday. I was standing at the ticket window at Squaw and up walks this beautiful blonde. Instawood! We drop off Palisades Ridge on an icy straightline, which I finished in a wonderful eggbeater. Then we proceeded to rip the shit out of everything at Squaw with the rest of our splinter crew. She tumbled out of the Cornice chutes a couple times at speed, always getting up and charging harder, skiing faster, and always smiling. I told someone if I was dreaming of the perfect, that dream babe would be SheRa. I know she posted some mighty corny stuff on powmag in the old days, but this woman is beyond totally the shit!

Sking at Squaw on Thursday was a blast. The group was just the right size (6-8) and Splat led us around and showed us the goods. Splat would pick a line -- always steep and sometime icy -- and SheRa would always say "why not."

    Yeah, baby.

If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.

So many. Meeting Endless, phunk, Schmear and all the Kirkwood crew, listening to Spats talking at a billion mph in the morning, coming away with a bunch of Schwag from the Beav, watching the PA boys go off on day one at the Weed, sharing turns with gincognito, witnessing the Random Chas Factor straightline the Wall in a massively outr of control stylee, watching Up an Down (56yo!) ripping it up in the half pipe, feeling proud as Mrs Roo dropped Sisters Chute (twice), and finally claiming Extra Chute from Squaw's Palisades for myself. There are so many more - the kicker we built at Emerald Bay, getting booked by a troller at Squaw , meeting the Kirkwood crew again and listening to Splat's tales of the mythical Maggot Chute. Roll on Summit 2005...

But before that, there's the Euro Mini in January. La Grave rocks.

    Thumbs up

In one and a half days I increased my maggot-meet-in-person quotient by a factor of 10. It was a pleasure to share turns and motherlode burgers with everyone on Friday and Saturday at Kirkwood.

My one favorite moment is probably watching Tyrone almost straightline a cliffy chute in West Shore that hardrider, 666, and I made a few extra turns on. Another one is running out the door with lph to avoid the dance floor.

Weibo, you are a cool dude. Thanks again for storing my skis overnight in your case. Hope you enjoy the futon on the way back to Jasper.

666, hardrider, laces - you had me at hello. These dudes can throw down! Make sure you visit me up in Washington next season.

Good to finally meet Gin and Roo. Sorry we didn't make turns together, but I guess a chairflit ride and the Beav come a close second and third.

Also, nice to finally meet Endless, Funken, Lunch, Rehabit, DJ Sapp, Snow Dog, Slim, Snowsprite, Mountain Man, Splat, Nater, DiveGirl, Arty, WonderWoman, WSD, Geoff, Kush, nightpanda, and everyone else I forgot to mention.

And Kellie, you still owe me some fries.

To many cool moments to list just one!

1 Meeting so many more mags, finally the rest of the K-weed crew since i missed a bunch in Jan.(skier666, kellie, cracker, slim and many more) oh yea ty/punani although i met those 2 at the first)

    2. The BC booter Brooks, Sean(both soon to be on the board) Hardrider, Geoff and I all hit in Carson pass on weds. (thanks for letting me hit it on your spatulas LPH/ How did the footie turn out?)

    3. Riding all day at Squaw the first Sat. with Kellie, who also taught me an important lesson DO NOT BOOT PACK INFRONT OF THIS GIRL!!!

4.Having skier666 reply "Dont worry you're a pussy anyway" when i asked him if i would be a pussy if i backed out of an air.

    5. Heading OB to ski a chute with 19 other mags the first day at kirkwood, the thing was a bump run when we finished!

    6. Thanks to the Cantanadians and Hardrider for leading me to one of the most fun climbs/runs i have ever done on the last run at Squaw.

    7. And of course the 2 huge parties and swag! Even though i had to leave early from the beav to make my flight. You guys still managed to get me pretty hammered. (only made the flight by 5 min ) even though it would of been nice to miss it!

    Re: Your Coolest Summit Moment

    edit: double post!

Here's a quick tally of the damage incurred during the Summit:

    1 1999 Toyota Tacoma
    1 little fuzzy rabbit
    1 little bird
1 pair of boxers (destroyed in a not-so-fun and totally un-sexy manner)
1 peice of paper that had all my directions and contact numbers (flew out of the truck within 1 mile of leaving my house)
    3 pairs of cheap sunglasses
1 cd carrying case (can't seem to get some sticky goo off of it from when the Tacoma got rolled)
    - and an untold amount of money 'cause I'm afraid to check my credit card balance!

I've never felt so at home with relative strangers. F'ing phenomenal day. You two yahoos really made that day! Thanks a million! You don't know how much I wanted to stay. Stinkin' commitments....

Wow. An inter-resort tug of war for SheRa. OK.
I'll bet a car repair assist and a trip to Tioga if she runs away to the circus.
What'll you do for her if she stays?

One day of skiing, 19 hours of driving. Totally worth it.

    2) Skier666 - uber-guide. Not one run went to waste.

    3) Kellie - chicks that rip.

    4) Everyone else Ty, Kush, Punani, phUnk, Tuffy, TeleNater, etc. etc. etc - just too damn cool.
Since I was there pretty much the same time as Bullet, I'd have to ditto all of the above. And I'd also add the party at Hoss Hogs. I drank too much, don't remember some, and I know I was dancing, but I don't remember how stupid I looked.

I definitely want to do it all again.........................soon.

BTW-I guess my coolest summit moment was learning that TJ's house almost burned down and he missed the summit. That was pretty sweet. Give me a K!

    All I've got to say...

This is pretty sad that a thread about us getting together has denegrated like this. This board should be about getting together and having fun. Not throwing flames and acting like asses.

    Secondary post...

    Keeping the stoke.

My favorite moment of my one day there was...

Watching Snowsprite push herself, getting down to the bottom with a smile on her face. Terry kicked some serious ass, having fun the whole time. And, isn't that what it's all about?
